The Mighty Red Raiders at Shelby

Hard to tell a lot about these teams from conference play. Both dominated Chase, RS, and East Gaston. And I don't think East Rutherford is a good measuring stick for how good either team is because East gave up 42 to North Gaston and 44 to South Caldwell.

You Shelby guys like to bring up the 2nd round game last year but y'all got flat out dominated in the first game last year and of course had the advantage getting a mulligan 2 weeks later. South Point will be the best team Shelby has seen this season since Crest. I think the Red Raiders will take care of business in the trenches and win this one 31-21.
You need to get back to folding t-shirts and picking up cirgarette butts in the parking lot until 94/96 tells you that you can quit for the night. Leave the football talk to people who know something.

Crestcharger, hate to tell you bro, our fan base consist of Doctors, lawyers Judges. Etc....
And me myself own 2 business, plus Hitman has great job too...
So again your full of sh__t. Just like saying things about our kids, your one jelious SOB...
.But haters going Hate....

Me thinks your a bit confused.

The Doctors, lawyers and judges you reference apparently support your soccer and tennis programs. Otherwise your team would not have needed to create a video begging for donations for new weight room equipment at beginning of the season.

Back in the day all your coach or AD had to do was mention to a Suttle, Dover or Gardner about a need and a check would have been written.

Those days are past.

Let me guess...
1-The doctors are actually psychiatrist
2-The lawyers are court appointed
3-The judges get the final say.
Might need to recruit a few bail bondsman as fan.

Just a fan your another stupid I think I know it all Crest fan.
1st all we roll without a booster club, all money used is by donation from our support.
Next do u come sit on our side?
I've had res. Seat since it started at Shelby.
And judge Wilson, judge Morgan all sit near me, along with Doc. Dentist.
Also that's why we have our banquets at Neal Sr.center. while yall have it in Cafeteria.
Also dont know what video your talking bout, but since u on a call out, what about your last rings, heard your booster money wasnt there and yall had to beg for money to get them.
So there you go. Sad you Crest peeps are so jelious you gotta try digging our program,..

Cut this redneck shit out, and get back to football, the shit has gotten old, enough is enough already. Noticed a long time ago that Crest and South Point have twin fan bases and posters, and reading some of this stuff from Crest posters is just baffling, you clowns have a lot of nerve, you guys are in no position to talk about anyone. Y’all must be suffering from some amnesia, but there’s no need to even discuss it.

I'm gonna try to get this back on track and away from cigarettes, donations, and trailers...although that sounds like the CC strippers...heck lets be honest, it sounds like GC strippers too

Whats the key for Shelby?

I'll tell you what it shouldn't be, lining up anybody in front of 72 and thinking you have any chance...he will be pulverizing Lions into the dirt...best bet try the other side

Whats the key for SP?

How's the pass defense? Has anybody tried to throw on them this year?

72 is nasty for SP.

SP likes to jam receivers all the way down the field to make up for their lack of speed. They have even mastered out to get away with it without a penalty at their home field. I will be anxious to see how its called Friday at Blanton Memorial.

Rock you are correct Dowdy (72) a 4 year starter and Shrine Bowler is like a earth mover and he has no stop in him. So it will be a long night for whoever they line up in front of him.
South Point's secondary has given up 3 TD passes this season which says a lot. All due respect Shelby passes at a level above the rest. Pressure on Bess will be our challenge. Coach Hodge will have to have a plan to do that and typically he will.

Likewise Shelby's strategy to stop Ray Grier a year ago in the second game was to tackle him rather than try to stay with him. They were glad to accept a holding penalty in lure of a long TD passes the few times they got caught. Blanton, Lineberger or no other stadium in the state is going to allow that. If they play Ray Grier straight up they will get beat. You can't slow him down face up. He is too big and strong and will catch balls with people hanging on him like Christmas ornaments.

You haven't watched the right film.... The last thing we will do tomorrow night is jam the receivers at the line. We WILL play about 8-10 yards off the line and give you the underneath stuff to avoid getting beat over the top. In all honestly the DB's are the most athletic postion on our team. King and Glen can flat out fly.

Dorian will take care of Grier, Sp only been using him on 3rd down plays and Defense, well in East game anyway.
SP better think again on any long pass plays, u may get short underneath passes.

Not only is Grier big, but he’s fast, too, very fast. He runs the 100m for South Point’s track team. It will take a corner with some help from the safety to contain/slow him, and we have those athletes in Davis and Christopher at safety, a player who doesn’t always get the props he deserves, but is a heck of a football player, and should be on the radar of some colleges.

No doubt that Shelby can give enough attention to Grier with CB and safety help to stop SP's passing game but that keeps the safety from cheating on the run. Hope that they double Grier all night long. There was comment about SP's lack of speed in secondary. Grier will play some corner and I will put Devon King up against anybody on the Shelby's team for speed. The rest of the secondary is not as fast as those two but certainly not slow.

His son plays collage ball, I'm sure hes tied up with that, or flying one...
But after tomorrow it will be weeks u dont hear from him....lmbo.

Was there a SHS, SP jv game last night? No info in the Gastonia Star. Sure miss Shelby Star, used to be a good newspaper.

Shelby JV were very very strong this year. Hoping some of that talent rubs off on Crest next year.

Shocked that Shelby has not postponed tonight's game due to the weather. A wet field will favor South Point. Very difficult stopping their run game if you cannot dig in.
