Lion attack..Everyone including Shelby and Crest were contacted. If you are an elite program in NC you were contacted. EVERYONE. We have 2 off weeks because nobody outside of Butler wanted to play. Why would we travel 2 + hours to Dillon to essentially play the SC version of Crest/Shelby but not call Ware?
As far as the game, I will say what i always have said. Last years Shelby team would have been interesting. We had issues in the back end and Lee along with Borders would have been a challenge provided you could keep Lee upright. No small feat if you saw MC dismantle Page. In the end Shelby would have been like Dillon in 2013. Withered in the 4th quarter. Too many big bodies, too much depth upfront on both sides. Kid like Holifield would have had to defend Moss in the seam and deal with a 295 lb Oline for 4 qts. He is great. Would have been too much.
At Shelby..one score game. At MC, probaly 3 scores.
