For real? Could never see missing this one. This is one of the biggest games in SHS history! Not bigger than a state championship game but certainly a close second.
Yeah, heard he quit and that it wasn't amicable. Rumors though...you never know. Could never see leaving a team that has won 4 in a row with the potential to win 5.....?????
South Pointe 28- Shelby 20 F in jvs, Shelby gave it away with 2 ints and 2 fumbles.

What if I said Shelby kids acted a certain way? It sounds like you are pointing out a specific race also? So please change your word choice! You could have left it at no class or unsportsmanlike!
I'm with you on the word, "Thug", it's the new N word, but I can assure you, Shelbyfan1 is no racist. Poor word choice, but he's a good dude. He's a businessman, and very hands on w/ the players.

Well, unfortunately, you will probably see the same thing tomorrow night. I was at work, and wasn't at the 7 on 7 between these two, but I was told both teams had to be separated, then. It's a battle of champions and NC vs SC. Competitive juices are kicking in, emotions will be high. Hopefully, we are competitive tomorrow night vs the no. 7 team in the country. I am now optimistic that we will be.

People around, dont realize what kinda young men we have, i had one coach tell me, which he retired 2 yrs ago from us, he said ive coached all over and Shelby has some of best kids i know of. And i agree 100%.
Every school has a few, and im sure we do. But they some good hearded kids.

PSA. SHS prepare for rachetness tomorrow night. Regardless of how SPHS acts or what they say show them what class is.
Pulling for Shelby in the nc vs sc but I think sp depth makes the difference. But Ima still go with Shelby 21-14

Interested to see how Shelby's offense does in this game given their recent struggles. I think their defense will hold their own but I believe this game will come down to who wins the line of scrimmage. Shelby will be ready for this game and wont back down, they should go in expecting to win not hoping to win. The JV score can provide some confidence and I think it will do just that. I just hope the kids understand they're not just repping Shelby in this game but also state as well. SP better not get complacent and let Shelby hang around and after a big win against a Georgia powerhouse and playing a 2A school I can see that happening. SP 24- Shelby 21
Had a JV kid come in this morning....he was telling me about the game last night. He said SPe talked trash the entire game. Late hits...a lot of dirty play. Should make for an interesting one tonight. Gotta play with class.
And, we have never seen any of this at Shelby? It's a lot of high character young men on this particular team for sure, you won't see many unsportsmanlike conduct calls or extra curricular activity once the whistle has been blown. But, don't act like we haven't had our share of these things over the years, on recent teams. It's the same demographic at every school. You have a few knuckleheads on the team. Heck, on our 2015 championship squad, one of our best players damn near wanted to fight eveytime he was tackled, as if it that wasn't part of the game. South Pointe must have been all Black, the same ole bullshit gets associated with those teams, us included over the years. Back to football, but some of you are killing me with this "uppity", nose in the air talk. I'm generally speaking, not directed at you, personally.

Whoa whoa....I'm just relaying what the kid told me. Just seems like they play a little dirtier than most teams. Especially if your son was saying that is how it was at the 7 on 7 too. Where did race come into this? Watched the start of the game last night and looked about 50/50. Madison was one of the dirtiest teams we have ever played back in 2012, and they were all white. It has nothing to do with race. It is all about winning and losing with class. I like to think we are a classy program. I wish we were all colorblind.....I like to think heaven is that way. I understand you weren't directing that at me but I NEVER want anyone to ever think or associate us with anything racial related. We love EVERYONE!
My son said absolutely nothing, those things are nothing to him, he either returns it, or tunes it out completely. He's a tough skinned young man. Playing the position that he does, he has to be.
Why does 2015 seem like so long ago? I'm trying my best to remember who we had that was a hothead on that team

Me too, but I do think the offense needs to hold onto the ball for a while. Be patient and let the defense rest. I think that is key. That, and I'm banking on one of our WR's to have an epiphany and turn into Micheal Irvin this week. That's all we need to win.
@whitemilesdavis What time are you leaving for the game, bro? I'm trying to figure that out. It's going to be packed, Probably would be wise for me to consider the traffic, too.
