It means no one knows.
No. 23 is Tamir Johnson, a small but tough and speedy freshman. He had a pick-6 in the Graham game and then another interception against Forbush. After the E Surry game, the Rams coaches replaced four of the defensive starters, including both outside linebackers. A freshman, #23 now starts and is going to be a good one.
.
thank you tgt....finally someone actually posted some stats for reidsville on the season....as the little boy in the play "Oliver" said......"Please Sir, could I have some more?"Newton-Conover has a couple of big, strong running backs who both went over 100 yards against Thomasville
Allen Wilfong ... 5-11, 190 senior
Allan Shade ... 6-0, 220 junior
Wilfong is over 1000 yards on the season.
The N-C quarterback is junior Justice Craig (5-11, 175), who has passed for close to 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns this season.
This should be a good test for the Reidsville defense that has pitched five straight shutouts and has 8 shutouts in 12 games.
Reidsville has some impressive offensive numbers as well:
Junior QB Kyle Pinnix is 121 of 189 (64 percent) for 2540 yards and 40 TD passes.
Top receivers are:
Breon Pass with 31 receptions, 509 yards, 10 TDs
Auldon Edwards 22 receptions, 640 yards, 6 TDs
Demontez Canada 22 receptions, 506 yards, 9 TDs
Lionel Long has 15 receptions for 244 yards and 5 TDs in addition to running for 1086 yards (119 attempts) and 23 TDs.
I wouldn't count that out yet. I think that may yet happen, Miracles happen. Looks to me that the bottom of East an West 2-A have more of the usual suspects. Not saying the top brackets don't have good teams but Clinton & Mountain Heritage seem to have easier roads.Same exact score that I was getting ready to post.
What I don't understand is how did Reidsville give up 54 points to East Surry and some people think it was because Reidsville did not double Gosnell. That may be the case but the Cards have another WR that's is stats wise right up there with Gosnell. I listened to the game and I believe Reidsville lack of pass rush was the difference in the game . It seems like if the Rams we're playing man couverage that they would have had more bodys to rush the QB. Also East had some success running the ball.
Reidsville missed on some big plays that hurt them, but the Rams still put 49 on the board.sometimes you just lose, anybody that's ever played football knows during a season at some point you will play a game that nothing goes your way.I think the d Rams defence my not be what they usually are, but who in the West or East 2a can put up 50 points on the Rams . I say nobody because it would take a very good passing team to beat Reidsville and I don't see one.
My team has lost 3 of our best players ,due a to injury .plus our best player Shehan had his appendix removed I don't know how we can overcome that problem. I was hoping we could play the Rams at out place this year but it may take another merical or two to see the Rams in Burnsville .
If Reidsville don't score. Not that would be a miracle. I think the Rams win 47 to14. Now if Brevard gets by Chase witch I think they will . The Rams would be at Brevard the next week. That could be an interesting game if Brevard can get there running game going. Brevard has a lot of potential in the coming years . And they are consistent from week to weekI just hope we score. And play on Friday night.

I’m sorry but I for the life of me can’t figure out how Reidsville manages to get in small 2A unless it is to dodge the MIGHTY GOLDEN LIONS since that slobber knocking they got from the LIONS a few years ago.I’m interested in this one, big time, to peep the outcome in comparison to NC’s outcome with Burns (49-12) who, 28-20 has called, trash, ever since he learned of their existence from when they played Shelby, and NC’s game vs
North Lincoln (43-7), the silent killer in 2AA. And you, my dude, stated that excluding Shelby, you’d take Reidsville over everyone in 2AA. I looking forward to the outcome of this game. Reidsville wins, but for some wacky reason, I think it’s going to be closer than many think.

Oh yes and that was on their home field. I sat will a couple Reidsville Middle coaches and they said, “no one has ever come in here and done what the LIONS did tonight.”
How does someone "manage to get in small A"?? numbers are set by NCHSAA not the school..Reidsville vs Shelby has happened 4 times....twice in state finals...Lions hold the edge....2005 state 2AA title Shelby 26 Reidsville 18.....2007 state 2AA title Reidsville 28- Shelby 20.....2013 3rd round 2A playoffs Shelby 48 Reidsville 3 (a true butt whipping)...2014 western 2A finals Shelby 17 Reidsville 7,,,,,,,,,that 2013 game was the worst defeat for a Reidsville team in (at that time) almost 50 years............I’m sorry but I for the life of me can’t figure out how Reidsville manages to get in small 2A unless it is to dodge the MIGHTY GOLDEN LIONS since that slobber knocking they got from the LIONS a few years ago.

Do you sit around and honestly think the city of Reidsville along with RC School Board tries to figure out how to avoid Shelby in football. You are delusional.I’m sorry but I for the life of me can’t figure out how Reidsville manages to get in small 2A unless it is to dodge the MIGHTY GOLDEN LIONS since that slobber knocking they got from the LIONS a few years ago.

Got a name?I just seen Newton has a guy with offers to Tenn, Wake, Charlotte and Ecu. I bet he will be on Breon
Yep my mistake I must have forgotten that Pisgah beat Brevard in the last regular season game. I think I read somewhere that if Brevard won that game they would get the #2 seed. These Max Preps extended ranking fry my brain trying to make sense of them#3 Brevard would travel to #2 Reidsville
#3 for Newton can absolutely fly... Problem is their defense is not good ..
Here he is chasing down kid from Kings Mountain in the jamboree this year showing off his wheels
Yes, Johnson excels in track, too. I looked him up. Wasn’t familiar with him, but that’s one cool thing about the playoffs, you discover great players from other programs.Brandon Johnson is fast. He is a junior. I really like #1 who is a sophomore receiver on the Newton-Conover team.
I'm curious to see how Reidsville secondary does in this game.
I don’t know, Goin’. Wayne’s had a pretty strong string going.Fig newton, Wayne Newton, Cam Newton, Newton Conover. Don’t matter. Rams by 100
They got the ball to a really fast guy on a short pass and he just sprinted to end zone. Some subs were in.I left at halftime and assume the second score was against our 2s and 3s.
