Back to the complaints about the concessions at Community Stadium.
First, the Reidsville Lions Club, who have the concessions, is by far and away the biggest contributor to the Reidsville Rams football program.
Some of the members that "stand around" are over 90 years old and simply cannot physically do much.
I have missed a grand total of 3 Rams games, home and away, since 1968. The concessions at Reidsville are better than what you can find at most stadiums around the state.
So, if you want hamburgers added, how about volunteering to grill the burgers, or find someone who will, rather than criticizing some of Reidsville's most civic minded citizens, many of whom have devoted their lifetimes to helping fund our football program.
I agree they're a huge benefit to the overall athletic budget. Yes they split the profits. Just like most athletic budgets, football pays for most other programs.
At the same time, the Lions Club, generates most of their annual budget from Reidsville Football. So the door swings both ways.
