On another note.....Reidsville fan attendance at High Points' beautiful facility was pitiful...the more we win....fan support seems to dwindle....except for the hard core fans like myself.....Hard to understand for a program that over the last 2 and half seasons is 38-1............................student support at even home games is almost non-existent......................

And the HP Andrews fan attendance was ...........?

I know it felt like we weren’t undefeated by the attendance

Level of competiton plays a role in that. You may be a fan but you still don’t want to see a game you know is over when it was scheduled. Not the kids fault but you still want to see them vs competition. No excuse for lack of student support at home games maybe need a student discount. But my questing is why do Reidsville games cost $7 when every other game I go is $6? Is that a county thing or conf thing bc I don’t attend any of those away games? Just curious dollar difference not big

Students should get free tickets (or at least half price) if they agree to watch the game.

Administration ran the students off years ago with the no socializing policy. This generation doesn’t have the tradition of going to games. The kids were no more problem than any set of kids at any other school. As TGT said, the students don’t get a discount. So if they want to talk instead of watching the game, let them do as they please as long as there is no disturbance. The powers that be already know which students may or may not cause a problem. The school resource officer may see 150 kids standing around talking as a distraction. I see 150 kids as $800 more for the athletic program.

I can't guess how many students would come if it were free. But if they're not in the stands cheering for the team, it doesn't really matter as far as game atmosphere.

Man. Breon seemed to have had a real good game. Hate I couldn't attend. Rarely miss a game until this season. Hopefully things will change by playoffs so I won't miss any more. Talked to Breon dad couple games ago. Seems he has bright future regardless of what sport he chooses .Rams looking good to make another Run. Pinnix coming around at qb too it seems.

Go to any other school and the kids are allowed to stand behind the bleachers and socialize. At Reidsville they can’t do that. That’s why the kids aren’t coming, has nothing to do with the cost. These kids don’t wont to sit in the stand like robots. Their teens, let them be teens and socialize with their peers. The ones that cause trouble ban them from coming. I still trying to figure out how one of the best programs in the state has the worst concessions. Well I know how and why.

The Lions club has done a lot of good over the years for RSH athletics...besides donating 25 thousand when they built the stadium....half of concession profits go back to the school and they don't have to lift a finger to get that money.....Be that as it may.....I do agree...concessions need an upgrade as far as variety, etc.

No problem with them doing it, that’s one head ache the booster club don’t have to worry about. But it would be nice to have the option to buy hamburgers and wings.

Yes hamburgers chicken fila would be nice something different besides the same ol stuff ( hotdogs cheese fries....)

How about we let students socialize as they run the concession stand? Two birds, one stone lol.

My dad also had mentioned this past weekend that there will be 4 new teams on Reidsville's schedule next year...can anyone name them and who is going to be dropped (I know Andrews is one of the drops)? Thanks.

East Surry, high point central, Eastern Guilford. Not sure who the last team is?

not sure yet if HP Andrews has definitely dropped us....but I do know Magna Vista, W-S Reynolds and NW Guilford have.....................

It would beneficial for both hpa and reidsville

Agreed. Programs headed in different directions. Andrews as a school with turnover and declining enrollment is starting to show in athletics. Truly sad state of affairs in high point unless they redistrict.

Andrews is one of reidsville top 5 rivals too

Up until 2 years ago this was a marquee game in 2A. Not making excuses as it’s simply reality, but Andrews talent pool is being drained in benefit of Southwest Guilford (see Southwest’s rise in football and basketball recently). The primary feeder middle school for Andrews is down to 380 kids, and Andrews gets roughly 40% of Griffin Middle kids. Enrollment at Andrews in 2 years (minus aviation academy) will be on the 675-700 range.

while the Reidsville/Andrews game was going on......on a separate complex within eyesight of visitor side...HP Christian was getting lambasted by Charlotte Christian 62-0....Charlotte school according to Maxpreps in number 1 school in NC (that's all classifications).....better game would've been if C.C and Reidsville played each other that nite...lol.................

Charlotte Christian beat Catholic 6-0 the first game of season.........

my bad.I was thinking of calpreps.com state rankings........

1. Charlotte Christian

2. Mallard Creek

3. Wake Forest

4. Charlotte Catholic

5. Hough

In this ranking (which is all NC schools regardless of class), Reidsville is 40th

Back to the complaints about the concessions at Community Stadium.

First, the Reidsville Lions Club, who have the concessions, is by far and away the biggest contributor to the Reidsville Rams football program.

Some of the members that "stand around" are over 90 years old and simply cannot physically do much.

I have missed a grand total of 3 Rams games, home and away, since 1968. The concessions at Reidsville are better than what you can find at most stadiums around the state.

So, if you want hamburgers added, how about volunteering to grill the burgers, or find someone who will, rather than criticizing some of Reidsville's most civic minded citizens, many of whom have devoted their lifetimes to helping fund our football program.

You guys complaining about Reidsville concessions have lost your minds. Maybe not the best, but definitely good, quality high school football concessions.

Mule, I don’t think anyone is criticizing the program. It’s okay to add suggestions to help.
I know I add suggestions for the schedule. I’m not criticizing it and know it’s not easy for us to get games
