Rams fumbled first play from scrimmage and Wildcats took advantage of short field to take the early lead. Reidsville defense bent but didn't break after that and used two long pick-6s to break the game open.

curious how many yards west stokes offense mustered..their running game presented real problems for the Rams.....for some strange reason the west stokes coach tried passing after having success running the ball and disaster struck with 2 long pick 6's for the Reidsville defense.......still can't figure this Reidsville team out................................

The first half was even game outside of two disaster plays by west. I agree I would have stayed on the ground. Reidsville would have still won the game but it would have been interesting. West should be proud of the effort with several players playing offense and defense.

Overall I thought the emotion was at least more active. Still a lot to clean up and need to get healthy. But I felt this was a better hand than the previous 2 games.

It was hard to get a true assessment of Reidsville last night with some players out injured. The run defense and dropped balls were the things they need to clean up. The defensive backs are top notch. I watched West against East Surry earlier in the year and like to see that matchup again.

Have you seen a Reidsville practice ? It’s literally 2 hand tag. But several states titles been won behind their style of practice.
Wasn’t 2 hand tag back in mid 2000s . I hate practice because it was full go every day .Seemed to work though

I doubt many players today would survive the Coach Johnny Morris practices in the early 1970s or the Coach George Wingfield practices of the 1950s. They could be brutal, especially if you missed assignments the previous game.

Amen Mule....as one of the battling bastards under Johnny Morris in his first year as coach of Reidsville I can testify...........some guys I played with went into military service after high school and swore that boot camp was not any tougher than Coach Morris' practices...........................

I was at some of those practices and I don't know how players survived. I felt sorry for the fathers of some of the players who witnessed those practices and somehow kept their tongues quiet.

Different world back then Mule...My Dad said well I guess the coach is getting y'all ready to play..........lol....if we didn't die first.................would be interesting to see how today's players would react...................

Some of their parents would be lined up at an attorney's office waiting to file a lawsuit. Different world for sure.
