Clemson > UVA . UVA would be a breather in our schedule. We got Clemson last year, I don't see it this year but we have a better chance than anyone else in the ACC for next week.

Yes UNC gets Clemson once once in a while in a revolving door schedule.. State continues to get them every year going forward just like we have for the past 17 years. Only a HOMER would suggest that is the same.

The plan was 3/4 years, I have no idea what the plan was/is for replacing him. I mentioned those names as realistic names as UNC isn't exactly a football power.
Except you just played against you first Power Five Defense.. well in the JV league there is only one Power Five Defense that you will play against. So UNC has that going for them.
State will have plenty of chances in breaking in their offense next year against JV opponents, VMI, Marshall, UCONN, Duke, UVA and VT -- so they've got that going for them, which is nice.
We just had our preliminary schedule for this year to break in the offense. It has not gone so well. we have a long way to go. 5-3 in the varsity league will not cut it like 5-3 in the JV league.
For the rest of the year we have five teams in the Varsity ranked this week that we need to play against. Of course we get UNC to help us get healthy.
Luckily for us, the guy that gave up the onside kick is gone so don't plan on that happening again. UNC has done pretty well against State's D under Mack so that will be a good tune-up game for us going into bowl season.
UNC got 30 first downs.. and stating how many yards you got against APP ST just reflect how far UNC has fallen. Everyone knows how lucky UNC was to get out of their without a L. Good for them.

Doeren would prob have at least a couple championships by now if only State were in the JV division, even though he has a losing record against them, and Clemson, but State is proud to be in the varsity division, and never complains about it, or uses it as an excuse.
Maybe not championships but better chances to get to the championship game. This is arguably his best team and his chances are much lower than last year.
Maybe. You would have a better argument if you were above .500 against the Coastal. But you're right, might've been a year or two in there when you would've won it. Like I said earlier, though, chances are you're still going to run into Clemson. Runner-up doesn't really guarantee you anything either. What'd Wake end up with last year? Gator Bowl match-up against Rutgers. Lol.
