Mack is Back Part 2

. Here is an interesting fact about football.. Depth matters, character of program matters, when every kids thinks he deserves playing time by showing up.... development suffers.... DD got a wake up call a few years ago and realized after losing a great coordinator and a few assistants he need to return to developing a deeper team and better assistants. Despite your assessment it appears one of the two programs is heading in a positive trajectory. They beat the heels even though the talent level was so decimated with injuries and next year they will be deeper than UNC again with kids who have performed at a high level in college.....not still reading their HS clippings.

So my turn to make a suggestion about concerns..... if I was a UNC fan would be asking myself how can I suck so bad with so much talent and the best QB UNC has ever had.... ( a difference maker to keep you in almost every game). He really is special and you guys are going to miss him. Next years.. more press clippings with two guys that could only put up 34 on Woolford...a 1-10 team in D2 who typically gave up 34 to D2 teams. 3-5 to what ....

For the record.. specials teams is big part of the game.....it usually comes with good coaching. However catching a blocked punt for a first down is a classic fluke. Scoring twice in a minute on UNC is not a fluke.... it comes with the classic development and poor coaching at UNC.... How many three and outs? BTW. Right now today,,,,,,, How many active DL at UNC are in the NFL... I am not aware on any..I think there are two on the taxi squad.. how many from State. 5 or 6. development matters. How many active OL from UNC are in the NFL. 2 and how many from State.3 and I don't remember any of them being high recruited but two are All Pro's ... Development matters..

I feel like a broken record. STATE WAS ALMOST A TD FAVORITE. Man...you can tell Carolina is State's superbowl every year lol.

You are broken record,,,, just like the heels... it is rivalry game and you went down in flames...when it mattered.. Point spreads don't mean a thing.. FANTASY football for Fantasy Football people...... you lost to a team without most of its defense on the the field... and they will be back to see you next year.with almost everyone back and you don't have Howell...that is no fantasy

How many three an outs again....

Tee up the ND delusional Bud light song and substitute UNC>.. that says it all. Then of course the real genius for fantasy fans...

Your welcome

Like I said, superbowl. How many NY6 bowls has Doeren taken State to in nine seasons? Conference championships? Congratulations - you barely beat a 6-6 UNC team, as a home favorite, in basically year three of a rebuild. Lol.

Well we are talking about today.. you are still into fantasy, did you say rebuild or debuild... are not not suppose to improve and meet expectations... rank 10th preseason.. again fantasy football by the best fantasy football fans.

State fans should probably sit this one out if the conversation is about improving or meeting expectations given it's been over 30 years since they won anything of any significance in revenue sports. Wouldn't you agree?

Yes and also enjoying a winning record for the year.. meanwhile UNC has a losing record.. in year three of a rebuild.. in the weak side of the ACC.. DD does have a winning record against the heels...

Yes, a history of difficulty with one program heading in the right direction and the other MACK IS BACK losing in Year three and regressing... with delusional fans.. Hell you guys can not even win when you cheat.

Would you trade a win over UNC for a NY6 bowl at least?

During Mack's second stint at UNC, Doeren and company have a losing record to both the Tar Heels and against the "weak side" of the ACC. Year nine of the Doeren dynasty and year 30 and counting of absolute futility. Lol!!

The Heels will need to make serious changes on the offensive side. They don’t have a QB on the roster that is built to take the punishment like Howell. He led the team in rushing with 1096 yds, but he lost 271 yards. That’s a lot of beating on the body, they can’t afford next year. QB won’t last the season.
Think he avg about 17 carries a game the last 5 starts. Those aren't Lamar Jackson running away from dudes kind of carries, those are 3-4 guys taking running shots

I'm pulling for BC though. I'd like to see State have a shot at an ACC title at some point during my lifetime.

Mediocre OL wins this team at least three more games this year - VaTech, Pitt and State. I don't know if Maye has the mobility to play behind an OL like that next year if there's no improvement. Criswell is a DT. He might have to see some snaps if we don't can Searels and field an OL that's at least average.

UNC will be just fine. They are literally recruiting too well not to be successful. That being said ….last night was just a Chef’s kiss of choking. I was in attendance and still stunned.

They were overrated going in, but also played well below their talent level in my opinion. That's a coaching problem. If they win 8 and get a bowl win I think there is disappointment but everyone is probably safe.

I think they have alot of talent and playing under the radar suits them better next year but I would have to be real concerned if I was a Tar Heel fan because I see very little on defense outside of Grimes and Gray to be excited about and Howell is the entire offense.

I think they make a change either on the OL, DC or OC, maybe 2 of those 3.

I like what I've seen from Gray, Grimes, Murphy and Ritzie. Evans is better with his hands in the dirt, he just doesn't have the natural ability to play as a 3-4 OLB. Excited to see Power, RaRa, Boykins, Nash, Balfour, Silver, Paysour, Blackwell, Jones, Nesbit after another off season in the weight room and some experience under their belt. Think you'll see a lot of Rice, Shaw, Hampton/Pettaway, Greene early on. They'll graduate a few on the OL, just hoping we can get better there. Kelly is a liability in the back end, really hoping we can replace him with someone competent.

Grimes, Gray, Echols, Conley, Murphy has just been bull rushing people - a lot of the pressure last night was a result of him collapsing the pocket. Evans is getting there. It's there. The two deep is going to be full of guys like that before long - Travis Shaw, Keeshawn Silver, Ra Ra Dillworth, etc.

They know. State fans just like to talk smack whenever they get a chance. I don't blame. I'd do the same. Makes the rivalry more fun.

The only thing that makes me happier than seeing the holes lose is seeing them lose when they have such grand expectations! 🤗 🤣 🤫

You just listed 8 dudes( one of which couldn't stop East Forsyth) on a defense thar gave up 32 points and 400 yes this year playing one top 10 team.

Says the UNC fan whose team "squeaked out a win" (actually twice the last 2 seasons) against a Wake Forest team made up of 2-3 stars; even rushed the field after getting by said 2-3 stars on your home field. How long can Mack count on stuff like that when he's getting his ass handed to him in the coaching department? That's what I'd be asking myself as a UNC fan.

Your ACC Atlantic Division Champions - Wake Forest Demon Deacons!!

Actually you're still wrong given whichever eight you're referring to haven't established themselves as starters yet - mostly true freshmen or sophomores.
Presumably if they were the impact players you think they are, they would have been making impact.

FYi- Shaw is a LT. He just doesn't know it yet.

They are making an impact. But they're young and inexperienced which is why they haven't seen the field as much as we'd like. Right now, you have super seniors, that because of the extra year granted due to Covid, are basically grown men that have been around the block, and you have Covid freshmen/sophomores that didn't have a normal transition from HS to CFB. There's a big difference between the two.

For these guys to not really be that good, all three rating services would've had to have gotten it wrong, about 30 separate times, all the other big schools that offered them scholarships would've had to have missed on evaluations. Like I said, the talent is there.

As for Shaw...We need a true NT in the worst way. Not an end that gets moved inside. An SEC type NT, for this defense, that's what's required. BUT we also need all the help we can get on the OL. I know we're recruiting his teammate as an OT.
