I think will be tough game and I think MA is the under dog on the road. ER has speed size and play as a team. Very well coached.

So ER ends up like fourth? And BK OWP and OOWP goes into RPI as well but you already know that so ain’t going down that rabbit hole again.
Didn’t see this post until after other one. Andrews might be. Even the hated RPI had them extremely close to that going into playoffs
Thanks for sharing buzz thats a mighty fine looking team there. I think they're definitely the favorites Friday night after seeing that. I think you guys might be the ones not wanting to see the rain with all the speed and athleticism. Thats just going to help the country boys out if its a sloppy mess. Looks like we will need all the help we can get.
ER's schedule was much tougher than Mt Airy's. East Surry, Starmount & E Wilkes was our best competition. Young defense struggled in early non-conf games but we watched the light "click on" during the 2nd half of ESurry game. Like Buzz has mentioned previously, this team keeps improving from week to week. Still have some things that drive Coaches crazy, but these kids are working hard to get better. ER is a formidable team and we must contain the edges and have NO turnovers or undisciplined penalties. Good luck to both teams and GO BEARS!!!
Buzz I like you I think I really do (except maybe when you get bent out of shape occasionally) but I find it hilarious that your post directly above this one says only stat that matters is scoreboard and then this^^^

Mt Airy is in a similar situation East Forsyth was in last week. Same as Mt Airy running clock every week second half looking unbeatable. They faced Hough which had a good team and very good defense and took the loss due to poor decision making by coaches and players. Hopefully for Mt Airy's sake they will be ready for the challenge because it will be an adjustment when you are against a team that has some athletes and coaching. It's been a while since they have played tough opponent.

Ok I’ll bite...I think ER is a good team. They have a decent OL and a hard running back. QB is a monster and has a cannon of a arm but accuracy is a bit of an issue. Defensively, Norwood is a monster and inside backers flow pretty good. Secondary is a little shaky but athletic. In my opinion, and all you ER fans don’t take this too harshly, I thought we were 10-14 pts better. Yes the scoreboard says otherwise and that’s all that matters, but just my opinion. If Mt Airy is as good as I think they are I say MA 42-10/14. Just think Adams ran for 200+, Mason matches that and Mt Airy defense maybe a notch overall better than Robbinsville.
Thanks for analysis. Really. You forgot special teams. That’s a pretty big part of the game I think. Adams is a great RB. Put those numbers up all year against every team they played I believe. Unfortunately Robbinsville didn’t go undefeated I don’t believe. Occasionally the intangibles are the differences in outcomes. Last Friday the intangibles went ER’s way. So I believe final score was exactly what it should have been and not 13-17 points the other way.
No offense taken at all. I didn’t expect ER to beat Robbinsville but also knew a few things go the right way and it could happen. Expect the same thing this Friday. Could be a running clock or could be a tight one. If ER gets a key player back and he’s 100% that certainly won’t hurt. They just aren’t quite the same team without him. Hard running back is a linebacker prior to the injury but has done well filling in. Turnovers, penalties, thanksgiving hangover. All give a team that is a little disadvantaged a chance if it goes their way. Rain is another x factor that could help even the playing field. We’re easy going down here in the country.
