Freedom 28 Bunker Hill 28 4th. This was my 1st games of interest for 2A
I picked EB to lose, but my goodness I never saw it being this bad. What are some takes from this game?
They couldn’t do sh*t against that defense of Christ. Lol. But I think it was just really EB offense. Pretty rough to watch lol
Well TBH East Burke is going to be a tough team to watch as a fan…..not much going on with them they had a good night though stopping the run up the middle but anything on the outside they couldn’t stop very well. Pass defense eh we had one interception but the pass bounced off a player only reason. But I don’t see EB doing a whole lot. They may beat West Caldwell and maybe draughn maybe. Varsity QB struggled badly not very good

I may go to another home game of theirs but I’m definitely trying to catch better action elsewhere. Going to games worth watching like the BH / Freedom game tonight. I love thrillers like that one was
Christ School is ranked 6th in the NCISAA. I thought East Burke did pretty good holding them to 26-0
I thought it would be worse too but honestly Christ didn’t really impress me at all really they had a pretty good defense other than that I wasn’t really impressed with them. I’d like to see them play a team better than EB some team like Maiden.
Some of these ranked teams play basic football and there isn't a lot of fireworks. We got beat by one tonight, 28-6.
Some parts of the game it looked like Christ was just out there practicing plays because they would run the same play over and over then switch it up and do another play and run it over and over.
The somp came in he is the better passer had a good game!!

Look who they were playing that was a fast and big Christ School team!!EB defense played great to go up against a team that has out of state players going there and Division one type players!! We want see a bigger or better team than them this year!!
No they will be fine pass the ball a lot but Christ is a big and fast Defense.
Big and fast they are best team we will see for sure this year!!placer kicker put it in the end zone every time!! couple of 6 ft 6 linemen 6 4 QB fast RB and fast linebacker's Just a good team!!
1am and just got in from West Henderson Newton Conover game. West Henderson 51 Newton Conover 33 Final. That's a long trip that hopefully won't ever take again anytime soon
They was a good team I agree but they wasn’t really impressive def didn’t live up to the hype of how good people was really saying they were. I think a team like maiden or bandys or even BH could definitely hang with that Christ school team. I would like to see how BH Bears RB Willis could do vs their defense cause we sure couldn’t run on them without out players getting drilled in the ground.
Don’t get me wrong I was at the game I know what I saw out of both teams. We stopped the run especially their inside run and they struggled on the extra points tonight and penalties The 4 ⭐️ QB didn’t live up to his hype I’ve seen better QB Play. To me he didn’t live up to the talk about how good he is. He isn’t bad though he is sophomore I’m sure he will only get better. But hey at least the boy can throw the football LOL something which EB QB can’t. He completed very few balls thrown wooohooo. Completed a pass thrown to Caden Buff which was an amazing grab and catch by him that was the high light of the night on offense for EB other than that we couldn’t do anything on offense it’s amazing how on 3rd down and long we want to run it up the middle….I guess running the ball is the answer to why we don’t throw the football cause we don’t have a QB that can throw…I know he threw one ball to Caden Buff with like 4 defenders all over him and it took forever for the ball to get to him and buff gets drilled not very smart or a play in general. But props to the Cavs for not letting them steam roll over them. No matter if we stood our ground against a team like that I still think they EB will struggle this season once again like last year we might and I say “might” win 2 games if we are lucky and they better hope they stay healthy.
But props to EB defense they did play outstanding vs Christ only thing that impressed me about that team was how big of some of those players they had. EB is not as big as they were last year with athleticism. D Line seems pretty stout though.

Christ is a good team it was a good opponent to get EB ready for a tough cvac conference schedule. Don’t think it’s the best team will see tho lol. Maiden will be another then Bunker Hill and Bandys. Lincolnton , N-C won’t be bad , West Lincoln are all going to be good teams we see. EB will need to work a lot on their offense and get it going for us to have a chance at any kind of winning.
Really shouldn’t matter who we are playing. Attendance at games are getting slimmer and slimmer. I remember when it would be packed down at the concession pretty much every football game. Looking down at them last night was weird to see it so blank last night. But with attendance like last night should tell ya something 🤷🏽♂️
I too was at the Christ and EB game last night. Christ had a very good Defense especially stopping EB run game I’m pretty sure they studied hard on EB game film they knew exactly what they was going to do you could tell. Them boys were smacking and drilling some of EB players in the ground lol I felt sorry for some of them boys out there they just couldn’t move the ball period running. The QB for East Burke was very in accurate all night he made at least 2 good throws all night but didn’t see anything impressive from him all night. It’s going to be a longggg EB football season I do believe especially in that conference they play in.
EB stopped the run game though that was good to see. A whole lot better than I thought they would. Freedom next week they better get to prepping.

Boys!…Maiden looked good last night…yep!… I’m biased…but I ain’t lying. Dee-Fence!!😂 Couple of turnovers inside the red zone in the 2nd half didn’t help; but all in all…great showing by the Blue Devils.
I was glad to see that Central Davidson scored on Monroe…had a couple turnover on downs inside Monroes’ 20 as well. Good stuff!
My Helga Mites from Hawg Hill gave up another punt block last night. UGH! Back breaker.
Was glad to see the kid from North Lincoln, Bassani, had a pick 6….yet it was called back for penalty.

Gotta clean up the penalties, turnovers and a few bad passes. I really think this could of been 50-0 without the above. But that's week 1 football lol sloppy

Did Maiden get its 3 tall wide receivers on the field?
Just to keep it CVAC, WL looked ok last night. They just met a defense that swarms to the ball. Very vanilla play calling from both sides but that’s bout all you need. West will eat sole people up the middle. From that game I can see 4th place in CVAC maybe 3rd. Score woulda been worse for West if NL didn’t catch fumble fever lol. It’s all good those are still some good players, just first game jitters.
Tells you what this team don't recruit so it is hard to complete with the other school they get players from other school Draughn picked up 5 extra players from other schools this year one from Freedom. so give me a break at least this team at EB can compete not like a few years back when they got beat by 50 points every game so stay positive we are in a tough league we will get better!!
Yeah. I played those years we got the brakes beat off of us playing those Cleveland county teams and getting beat by 50. So I know how it was. But it’s still not fun watching them as alumni and fan. EB is in need of change like Freedom did over the off season. Thats me though.
At one point or another lol. Don't think all 3 at one time. But had a couple plays double TE formation one TE 6'6 the other TE 6'4 🤣🤣
