I like their coach but losing a ton to graduation is tough - Willis is a great player and I really like his style but can’t run him into the ground so will see how it plays out

I wouldnt say sleeping lol I did put y'all 3rd in Catawba county. My biggest thing is I think y'all gonna kill Willis this year lol. Y'all gonna try to put Demarco Murray/derrick Henry mileage on him and that's not even counting defense.
The growth for maiden has to come out of city limits because I don't see the town approving anymore developments. So they will have to pop up in more rural areas of the district
I say give it 2-4 years and West Lincoln area will be booming
I work with a west Lincoln guy. And his sons coming up to middle school this year I believe. He says west lost all their lineman to graduation last year and will be hurting upfront this year. But with their system and coach he will find a way to make them respectable

Pardon the pun kinda 😂. But that will cause a culture civil war in that area and school lol. Their is a hard set lifestyle and culture in that area and new housing will cause shock that will not go over well. Especially if new tenets are northerners in rebel territory 🤣🤣

Well he's in a position now, if east Burke moves on from coach minor at any point.. he's in a position to appoint himself as a head coach 🤣🤣. But honestly I think Matt Wilson is a good coach. Problem is Newton Conover is just as possible of tearing him down as him building them up.
Didn’t Newton run off Matt Wilson dad in Nick Bazzle when he was there? Ik N-C can be very political and Ik their fans demand a lot bc I remember when I went to my first N-C game a few yr back and That’s all I heard about from fans and etc
I doubt Minor moves on from EB - He will prob retire there imo
Matt Wilson is a solid coach and he has the ability to win at N-C but needs time and support I mean look they are getting turf , new building , a larger weight room - There a ton of positives moving forward at N-C

Bazzle is step dad but I don't really believe in step dads. If u accept that responsibility when another man didn't then he is ur son. But yes NC is very political and big divide in community. Wilson will get more leeway than most would. But if he doesn't win right away murmurs will start and back room maneuvering will start. I'm hoping new maiden middle school coach will be able to get kids a little more ready for high school football.
If what I've seen so far holds up, I think we will see the maiden everyone has gotten use to seeing over the past several years.
Well, I would never expect u to put a money above Madien in the CVAC. Lol But seriously, BH is returning a lot of linemen and top two in tackles. Lot more there then you guys are giving credit. We will see.

@Lincolnton I don't think I could ever be that negative 🤣. And not jealous they ended up in same situation as us. At Reidsville in a very unfriendly environment against an all star team of area 5 star athletes some who reclassified in middle school 🤔. Plenty of workhorse players in past but most of them today aren't built like the ones in the past and bigger issue being, in the past all teams usually where playing possession ball killing clock. Today teams are running hurry up fast tempo ball. Harder to stay fresh during games and if Willis plays defensive also definitely gonna be tired.

How’s Linconlnton looking haven’t heard much from yall this off season
BD1996, We lost 13 seniors including our quarterback and flanker who were both standout players. On the plus side we have returning, a quarterback who throws well, is smart and the teams leading tackler; also, some experience on the line and some speed. I'm hoping we can augment what we have with some players coming out of the eighth grade.

Willis Jr. averaged 19 carries per game last fall.
For comparison….Avery averaged 26 at West Lincoln in ‘22.
Derrick Henry?…let’s just say…Tommy😉….yep….I’d turn Jr. loose if I’m the Bears.

Randleman beat a good 1a Thomasville team and West Stokes who finished top 25 2a last year. Lost a heart breaker to 1a powerhouse Eastern Randolph.
Gosh!…I guess Forest Hills was real good considering how they dismantled Randleman in the playoffs. I figure the jackets will be there again this year.
We’ll see what the Bears have early with that non conference schedule.

2 BH- benefit of doubt. You have Willis and some returning but I’ve seen star players not perform as well the next year when good components are lost the year before
3 Bandys- with killer JV 2 year ago and always good coaching and athletes they could surprise. Giving them 3 at the lowest. Be their year I feel it but could I be wrong well yeah been wrong before
4 WL- I’m sure they got something to keep them in top 4 especially upsetting a good NL early last year. Won’t happen this year unless NL beats themselves in that early non conf game. Be a good game to gage the Rebs on to see how they might come out in CVAC play
5- Lincolnton- could be higher or lower but bottom half is always interesting and my buddy talks em up good and I take his word for it. You know who I’m talking bout ha ha
6- Newton- a team that you shake an 8 ball thingie and see what the thing says. Athletes always but going on a limb and saying Lincolnton takes em.
7- East Burke- gee what have I got to say bout my boys, I love em and love what Minor is doing and love the atmosphere and the fans but I’m a realist. Going on a hard limb and saying they finish here cause that what’s been happening and with all the loss of raw talent from these recent seniors that many thought including myself was gonna take em to a playoff spot this past season and it didn’t pan out. Mainly due to the injury hit they took from key players. I put em at 7 based on paper and senior loss only HOWEVER…dont be surprised if they blow us away at expectations and finish 4. Can’t see higher than 4 but I’ll go with this for now. It’ll depend on the young QB, a good and should be more developed young RB and the line blocking.
8- West Caldwell- if this conf was set like this in the 80s and some 90s this would be the most feared program next to Maiden without a doubt. Track showed us there’s athletes in those halls in Gamewell. How they use em is to be determined. Bottom feeder until we see a couple games first.
Burke man called it, snapshot this prediction and I’d love to be wrong if I am wrong on some of these picks. CVAC is one of if not the most competitive 2A conferences and with the tallent EB had last year they could NOT afford to call a bad play, or make 2 or 3 too many mistakes or have so much as 3 or more starters out. Bout same thing went for a few other teams. Aug is just too far away ya’ll. Cheers!

I could agree with this as the CVAC rankings - Mine were just Catawba co which Ik Some don’t like
I like it. Common sense I think. I’m gonna start another one just as a bonus for fun. How CVAC ranks the neighboring conferences and why and how this team will finish. All just for fun and general knowledge

I think you are all sleeping on West Lincoln. They return all of their skill kids who were very good last year. They will just get better. I know they lost some linemen but that is what WL is known for after all. I am sure they will find five kids that can block.

From what I have been told by a close source, the Wolves have been working hard this summer and that the senior class as a whole are taking on leadership roles. Karson Cloninger, son of legendary Scott Cloninger will be the quarterback. He is not as dynamic as Mr. Bost but is tough and will let it fly. We return 4 of our 5 starting offensive linemen, have been told that they are the glue. Skill position wise, the younger Bost will be the lead back behind the experienced offensive line. Have heard that we will have some real size and speed on the outside with a Wilson and an Ikard.
Defensively we lost a lot with the departure of Andrew Phelps and Gee Walker, but again, have been told that there are some promising young ones that will fill the shoes. With the addition of the Foard kid at one safety position paired with Ikard, our defensive backfield will be very rangy and athletic. I have also heard that a freshman will possibly be starting at one corner position and has held his own in some pretty stiff summer competition with the likes of Shelby, Crest, and Hickory.
I am not sure what to project for this years version of the Wolves, but I do know that we will be very tough and well coached. Go Wolves!
Wolf4Lyfe, wish you wouldn't have said anything about the Foard player. Now, because of that, a certain poster who is a delivery person will probably have at least three episodes of road rage, today. Not going to say this poster's name but I can tell you it rhymes with amaidenLevel.

All that talent maybe we should point some private schools that direction 😂 I hear they got some money left in the coffers 😂. When Fred t Foards coach gets fired, I hope y'all can look yourselves in the mirror knowing it's y'all's fault. When he's homeless under a bridge and his family has abandoned him. His kids won't talk to him or acknowledge him as their father 😢. All this misery and destruction will lay at the footsteps of Lincolnton and their fans 😢😭😢
We have already had to fight off a certain school that’s blue attempting to woo the freshman and his brother, who was the JV quarterback. If only the Foard kid hadn’t missed that exit on 321. Foard’s coach would have had no problem with that!
Hey, FYI, looking at myself in the mirror is the very first thing I do each day.......I have to have the awful shock of it to wake me up.
We wouldn't do that too an alum coach. But in the end when the devil looks into the mirror he knows how far into the depths of hell he will go to accomplish his mission.
