So maybe Coach’s fault? Either way it’s a penalty. If kid is standing 2 yards back it’s not a penalty. Maybe someone forget this 7 yard detail?

It wouldn’t be fair for the Pisgah fans to wear the County Champ shirts, and leave the Franklin fans feeling left out. Who cares that they are the only high school in the county. The Panther fans can grace the Pit with these little numbers. Heck, it should read the all-time world champs.

I have contacted the NC DOT for permission to paint the road to Hibriten gold. They were a little apprehensive at first, but when I informed them it was for W.I.R., they completely understood and offered their services. They’ve even offered to drive hire him a driver, so he can be blind folded when they pass by Canton, and not have to be see it.

Hibriten, this may seem strange, but could you all get your band to play Rocky Top when W.I.R. glides in? For some reason, the Franklin band plays Rocky Top before and after the game. I know Franklin is in North Carolina, but some things are bigger then understanding. Thanks. That would be awesome.

Did you not read the change in plans? We’re flying him down just for that reason. We don’t want his sense of smell disrupted, so he can smell the victory of the greatest team ever, the Franklin Panthers. I’m surprised Hibriten hasn’t already conceded. I’ve got to give it them, they are brave for just stepping on the field with them. But, this will be one of those things they’ll be able to tell their grandchildren. They lost in front of the great W.IR. to a true dynasty, the Franklin Panthers. (Please ignore the fact they were 7-6 last season, and will be lucky to duplicate that next year, considering they are losing 23 seniors) Dynasty I say!
We run a 4-3. We have a stud at MLB. D-Line gets penetration. Other 2 LBs are good. Both safties and corners have done great this year in the secondary with the SS doing a good job of run support as well.
All in all probably the best defense we've ever had on the field.
Spreading our defense out and having a duel threat QB has been our only struggles this year against Newton and they were held to 17 points.

Well we don't have a dual threat QB! This match up is where the game will be won or lost. We are more balanced than normal but if we can't run it could be a long night.
14s ability to convert on third down by rolling out and being patient played a big role in Friday nights game. He has excellent pocket presence.
It will be tough on our defense to stop that power run game. Those kids aren't looking for homeruns it's 3yds and a cloud of dust. I see Hibriten breaking a few long runs but they will have to be able to get 3yds at times as well.
For Franklin to win they must do three things.
Win first down on both sides of the ball
Pick up first downs to keep defense off field and limit possessions
Limit big plays by hibriten..as Witherspoon is averaging 18.5 yards per carry..wow..

He can run some, but he's more Ryan Tannehill and less Cam Newton.

I saw hibriten last year 2 times and early this year when they came to RS for a scrimmage. But have never seen Franklin play befor so I'm pretty excited to see this game. Be nice to do a little comparing to Shelby. If Shelby gets past mt pleasant that is. Just sayin
