Mallard Creek has been in numerous tough games through out the years. Won more than they have lost. Never have i seen a program take losing to the level of East Forsyth . So i have started a thread so you guys can vent.

Hickory High appealed the NCHSAA to move down to 2A from 3A in the new alignment. That appeal was denied. I know Hickory disallowed the magnet school Hickory Career and Arts Magnet from participating in Hickory High sports dropping the enrollment by 200. They missed the target by a few students as they were the last team allocated to 3a. I am not sure what they based the appeal on.

Hickory High enrollment has severely declined over a 25 year period as more families have moved into the rural school districts. Hickory was once a power in 4A sports even playing in 4A when having 3A numbers when that was allowed by the NCHSAA. Cardinal Gibbons was approved to classification 4A with 3A numbers. CG has been a state power in sports outside of football, basketball, and baseball.

Congratulations to this young man. Unfortunate that he will not have the opportunity to play in the West finals tomorrow night after bringing his team so far.

Fairmont High School is currently looking for a team to play on September 9th, 2016. We are looking, preferably, for a 1 or 3 year deal with interest in playing teams from both North and South Carolina regardless of classification difference. I was glad to see you made it through the Lincolnton game in one piece. I was afraid that you would have got jumped and ended up in a dog pile with three other men, and came out of it missing two teeth, with an unwanted root canal, and a fake gold tooth.

football is back!!! all teams are getting ready tonight or tomorrow morning. my rosewood eagles start 1st game -aug 21 at cba. i feel this is going too be a very, fun and action packed season!!! as all teams in the cc have talent. as of know...james kenan as lakewood look as the top teams. lets roll!!

Did anybody listen to the Robbinsville game? Radio announcer got mixed up and broadcast for the last seven minutes of the game that Robbinsville was losing and declared their season over as the clock ran out! Robbinsville was leading and won the game 30-27..….. Wow, had a bunch of people more confused than he was.

Posting scoring updates

The question of class has been brought up often on here and I would like to comment on a Robbinsville fan who has shown me nothing but class and grace. I've on several occasions at my work have had the pleasure of talking with Cruz Galavias (spelling?) mother. She has been nothing but gracious and today even complemented on how well my son played last Friday. In my opinion a very classy lady and I don't know her son but if he's anything like her I'm sure he's a fine young man. Just wanted to post something positive.

I don't like to toot my own horn. But under the circumstances, I will. All the way back on page 6 of the threads, On Oct. 3, I posted a thread about the Mitchell Mountaineers having a good shot at winning the West Regionals. Only a few people thought they were legit. I wonder what they think of them now. Great job Mitchell, bring it back to the West in the finals. I will say WRH will be the fastest team you guys have played all year. I still like your chances in winning the State Championship.

Walkertown will give Mitchell a better game than East Wilkes They seem to have improved on D & O sense losing to East Surry Oct 9th. That game last night was a big supprise. Walkertown has a mission ! Best of luck to both ! !
