Can the Mitchell Mountaineers win the 1AA West Reg.

That is really a rhetorical question, but absolutely they can. They have a great offensive and defensive line, where the games are really won anyway. They play together as a team and make very few mistakes. I went to visit a friend this weekend and we decided to go to the Owen vs Mitchell game. She said that Owen was way down this year and after about the second quarter I had to agree with her.

But, even though Owen is not Owen this year, Mitchell is NOT Mitchell either. I was impressed with the team play of the mountaineers. They all knew to stay home on defense, the Oline made holes you could drive a car through.

Will Mitchell be in the West Reg. Final?? Who knows. But, this is a team that no one is talking about and could easily get to the Finals quietly. Don't sleep on this Mountaineer team, they pound and pound and then throw for 40yds.

The 1AA and 1A is any teams this year, yes you have a few of the same faces that are contenders, but even those teams are not unbeatable.

I say Mitchell wins conf. goes into playoffs undefeated, and who ever comes across them after that better have a lunch packed, because it's going to be a all day job beating this good team.

This was the requirement by the above request-ees and predictors that were expected to be met in order to get out of this- you aint beat no one situation:

1. We beat a team(Red Springs) with a 7-1 record- BY REQUEST............what's the excuses now?
2. We caught all 12 catches that were not suppose to be caught- BY REQUEST............what's the excuses now?
3. We ran on the "defense that was suppose to stop Fairmont"- BY REQUEST............what's the excuses now?
4. We have a a weak conference but beat a good team- BY REQUEST............what's the excuses now?
5. The quarterback for Fairmont was suppose to be stopped, but that didnt happen- BY REQUEST.........what's the excuses now?

We met all required enemy standards above- BY REQUEST, how will we get persecuted this time after winning?

Clinton 50 West Bladen 0

Wizard of the East
Proud of the DarkHorses 50-0 win over West Bladen. The West Bladen team is a pretty well respected team in our conference with a 6-2 record but the DarkHorses smoked them! What's really impressive is not so much the 50 points but this is the 3rd straight game they've shutout their opponent. They've given up only 57 points the entire season( 8 games)
Though the DarkHorses have a game next week at Trask, it's boiling down to a regular season ending game with Wallace-Rose Hill in 2 weeks at DarkHorse Stadium for the conference championship. Should be a slobber knocker!

What say ye?? Looking forward to this game. Andrews has been sorta like Cherokee, all over the place!
I see a good matchup. Both teams got some gamebreakers. Braves GOTTA quit shooting themselves in the foot!!! Period!! I know they're young, but it's time to step up and take control. Finish this season on a high note and go into the playoffs kickin a$$ !!!!!!!!

Wallace-Rose Hill @ East Bladen

Not really a lot of talk going around for this big time clash in the FCC, besides a few score predictions. I have a feeling most won't be picking East Bladen to win this one, but I think the Eagles have a good chance in this one if everyone is healthy. WRH has a great squad, and some superb athletes, can't wait to see this one. What does everyone think about this matchup?

Mooresville 45 Alexander Central 26

AC began the game with a 9 minute drive, scoring a TD but missing the XP. That was the last time they would lead the game. Mooresville quickly answered on their first possession and went on to lead 17-6 at the half. Mooresville had their passing game in high gear for much of the night, something that has been desperately need, as defenses have been keying on stuffing the Blue Devil rushing attack. The Mooresville defense however, has taken it's blows via the injury bug. AC ran the ball well with their option attack but struggled to come from behind. Mooresville will be headed down Doolie Rd for the second straight year to face Lake Norman next Friday. I can assure you this game will be intense!
