The Race For Top Seed In 4A Playoffs

We only have two weeks remaining in the regular season. As the playoffs approach, there is a very interesting race for the number one seed in the playoffs in 4A. Of course, the top seed means a team remains at home for as long as they continue in the playoffs. It hasn't always paid off, but a top seed is a great reward for a great season and giving the top team an advantage.

The following teams are still in the running for a number one seed in the playoffs. I've grouped the teams together as 4AA/4A. I'll leave the admin numbers up to those who are a bit more familiar with the division of classes to explain some possible scenarios.

This list is compiled with a couple of assumptions.

First: With the number of teams still in consideration, I'm making the assumption a top seed will report an undefeated record. Therefore, a team like Pinecrest, who has a conference loss to Scotland, could post a 9-1 record, yet not be a top seed.

Second: Page and East Forsyth will go west and Richmond will go east. Of course, things can change, depending on who's in the playoffs and the state dividing line.

The teams in consideration for the top seed are below, along with the opponents remaining on a team's schedule.

Page and Dudley have a huge game coming up. Richmond appears to have the toughest road to the top seed with their remaining schedule.

4AA/A East

Wake Forest (9-0) – Sanderson (4-5), Enloe (0-9)

Scotland (9-0) – Lumberton (4-5), Richmond (8-1)

Middle Creek (9-0) – Green Hope (6-3), Apex (4-5)

Jack Britt (8-1)(Non-Conference loss to Scotland) – Cape Fear (7-2), Overhills (5-4)

Richmond (8-1)(Non-Conference loss to Butler) – Pinecrest (8-1), Scotland (9-0)

4AA/A West

East Forsyth (9-0) – Ragsdale (1-8), Northwest Guilford (7-2)

Charlotte Catholic (8-0) – Ardrey Kell (6-3), Providence (5-4)

Page (8-1)(Non-Conference loss to East Forsyth) –Dudley (8-1), Southern Alamance (4-5)

Dudley (8-1)(Non-Conference loss to Richmond) – Page (8-1), Southeast Guilford (7-2)

Hough (8-1)(Non-Conference loss to Butler) – North Mecklenburg (7-2), Vance (5-4)

Clinton's Ryheem Skinner stats

I just noticed that Ryheem is over the 1000yrd rushing mark with only 85 carries. The next least amount of carries for a player with over 1000yrd rushing is 102 if I'm not mistaken, and that's by Chazz Surratt (A Tar Heel Commit) who is a QB which is crazy in itself also, but I can only imagine Ryheem's numbers if he got the ball 20-25x/game. O wow.

de-facto E.C.C. Championship Game

Croatan @ East Duplin... this game will likely determine the conference champion... never thought I'd type that... what say you guys, can Croatan waltz into Beulaville and get a win?

I think the Panthers have improved a lot since the two early losses to their county rivals. I like them to remain unbeaten in conference... I see this one about 30 - 17 for the home team.

Where there is a will there is a way.

To the people that have been nice to me, I thank you ! ! To anyone I have made madder than they made me , I am sorry ! I have tried so hard to just post the scores but seems I am a lightening rod and no one but two or three will even comment to my posts . I guess because of my words to the great leader in Feb. thing that were said between us caused that . I tried so hard to and did change for football season but I am not making any progress in changing opinions of me. Again sorry. ! !
If anyone enjoy my scores search and you will find one place may be tweeter I tried to delete my account back in basketball season and was told it could not be done. But I think I found a way to do it. The main reason I will not give but I know I want be missed anyway.Need more Mods like Sportsnut17 as he is fair and nutural ! !

Davie and North Davidson

Looks to be a battle for what once was a prime time last game of season kinda of game. Don't like the fact it's not anymore but hey everything changes all the time. Hot topic for Friday night is good hotdogs on the menu lol.

Davie comes in I believe with its heads up high. Played the best they have all year friday night with lack of coaching plays and a few errors due to coaching mistakes*** I still thing Davie should be 2-1 in cpc. Anyways there 1-2 in cpc and 3-5 overall and North is 1-1in cpc and 6-1 overall. I believe if the Davie comes out and puts the effort they did this past Friday night then they can walk away 2-2 in cpc coming into the bye week. It want be easy as North is coming off the worst performance of all year for as what I have read and looking to rebound and rebound at home. Mark probably will have his squad working double time this week due to the performance as well. As for Davie it's just trying to salvage the season as the coaches have stated in local papers.

I've stated to others if Davie can beat 2 of the top teams in cpc out the 4 then they can be playoff bound. Well there 0-2 and ND and Tabor is left. So we need the win friday night and get some rest and regroup on the bye week and fire back up and finish the season winning against tabor and parkland to finish 6-5 and 4-2 in cpc and I feel that just might be good for 3rd in cpc. But hey that's my taughts and my looking but I have no control over it only over my taughts..

*** To define my coaching errors from Friday night as I could point out alot but the interception 3 threw I believe calling a time out down in red zone could had saved us. I mean down only 7 just drove the field and the poor boy is tired from running and scrambling the whole offensive was winded call a time let them regroup and kick it up one gear and see what happens. But I don't think the pick would have been thrown due to fact the boy was wore slap out. He wasn't the only one but you gotta think he touches the ball every play and make decisions every play. Keeping him fresh changes alot of outcomes and things. We drove the ball all night on the defense even when west was wore down and even when they were fresh so the statement well we had to keep going bc they were tired don't work bc the simple fact we drove the ball all night on that defensive. Any who I'm ready for Friday just wish I had that head set and head coaching title lol.
