That is one meal I’m certainly hoping for!!Otis, we have a Texas Roadhouse in Elizabeth City now, it just opened up a few weeks ago. If your Eagles advance and my Eagles can avoid an upset then we can go there.
IDK. They finished 6-5. par for the course there, no??Great timing. How in the world have coaches wives with babies being born made it all of these years?? call BS on that one
Still Magnolia, can you clarify between "open enrollment" and "open choice"? Does this mean if a student wants to go to Hoggard due to the IB program but is in the Laney district they can apply to go to Hoggard to be a part of the IB program? Something like this, I have no problem with. My issue is when an athlete transfers to another school for no reason other than to be part of a winning program because they don't want to put in the work to make their team better. Of course, I realize their can be extenuating circumstances - a terrible and abusive coach, a kid that has a bright future as a WR but his team runs the ball 95% of the time so he cannot develop his talents.New Hanover is not open enrollment and has not been since 2011ish when the then principal Todd Finn requested that NHHS be changed from open enrollment to open choice - just like Hoggard, Ashley and Laney. The NHCS board approved this request. Frankly, I am surprised that you don’t know this Port. Do a little research before you post. Find out the difference between open enrollment and open choice. Your research will reveal that NHHS, Hoggard, Laney and Ashley are all open choice. None are open enrollment. If you want, I’ll be glad to meet you at the central office and we can get you educated.
It is true that NHHS has the Lyceum Academy. It is also true that Hoggard has the IB program. Students from out of district can apply to NHHS through the Lyceum Academy just like students from out of district can apply to Hoggard through the IB program. For the record, both the Lyceum Academy and the IB program produce stellar students, however, neither has had an impact on the success of NHHS or Hoggard football by the admission of out of district students. Further, neither program is an open enrollment opportunity. The open choice criteria still applies to all out of district applications for all high schools in the county.
Like Cat posted above, the reason the ADM numbers are lower for NHHS is that there is extreme opposition to re-districting. Every proposed re-districting plan that sends more than a small handful of Hoggard kids to NHHS is vehemently opposed by the well organized and vocal Hoggard crowd. Further impacting the NHHS ADM numbers is the fact that the NHCS has capped capacity at NHHS.
On a final note, you may want to do a little research on how many out of district players Hoggard had on their 2007 state championship team before throwing stones.
Why yes, yes they are. I guess we will see what they learn from said filmare oreos good in milk?
are oreos good in milk?Do you really think other coaches would do that??
Great timing. How in the world have coaches wives with babies being born made it all of these years?? call BS on that oneArticle says wife is expecting baby.
Do you really think other coaches would do that??don’t worry, all the film and secrets on how to beat the wing t dogs has been sent to SWE by all the local coaching staffs.
Article says wife is expecting baby. Not surprised. He was going to jump ship when things got tough and the wins were not coming.
don’t worry, all the film and secrets on how to beat the wing t dogs has been sent to SWE by all the local coaching staffs.just something to think about. If I'm playing Wallace I am going to put more men in the box than they can block, set the edges for jet sweeps and force them to throw the ball. They haven't shown the ability to do that all season and if they beat me doing that then so be it. Lock up on rec's and fill gaps up front. I will also admit that I coach best from here and the stands😂
If that is the case, how was 4A Greensboro Grimsley 11-0, 4A Northern Guilford in North Greensboro 10-1, 4A Northwest Guilford in Northern & Western Greensboro 9-2, 4A Southeast Guilford which school lines comes into Southeast Greensboro and touches Dudley lines is 7-4. Plus 3A Eastern Guilford which comes towards and touches Dudley lines to the East finished at 6-5. Plus 3A Northeast Guilford which touches Dudley from the NE finished 6-5. So if Dudley is grabing all the best Players, then how Grimsley, NWG, NG, NE, EG, SEG all finished with winning records? That's 5 other schools that has teams in the Greensboro City Limits that decent to great? The reason is anyone that wants to play football in the city of Greensboro transfers to Dudley.
The kid who committed to Clemson is Jordan Young. He's a WR/Safety ranked the #5 Safety in the state. He doesn't leave the field much. The QB Keegan Chambers is a problem not so much as a passer but his running ability. He threw two INTs against FH but we didn't adjust to his ability to bounce outside and that's what killed us on defense. Monroe will run from both under center and from the shotgun spread. It's just if you get to the QB he's so quick and is good with the misdirection. If you can contain him Burns can win but that's a big IF. As usual Monroe is full of athletes and speed but that's nothing new. Wish the West Charlotte game had finished you'd have a better gauge on how good they really are. What type of offense does Monroe like to run? I saw they have a kid committed to Clemson. How’s the defense? Well coached?
Being undefeated I’m sure they’re a good team but as stated earlier they’re schedule isn’t as strong as Burns but that doesn’t all mean a lot.
What type of offense does Monroe like to run? I saw they have a kid committed to Clemson. How’s the defense? Well coached?Forest Hills was still trying the tag team QB crap which never works when Monroe played us. Two QBs transferred in so they were playing both for some reason. The one transfer was a senior and should have been starting the whole season. Little over mid way through the Monroe game the junior transfer went down with a LizFranc injury and is out for the rest of season. The senior QB has been starting ever since and he has been getting better each week with the consistent reps he wasn't getting before. Such an improvement he's getting colleges looking at him finally. He was 23 of 29 304 Yards 3 TDs against Lexington. I think if he played the entire Monroe game it might have been a closer contest. The Monroe/ West Charlotte game actually started but storms rolled in and it was never rescheduled.
Martin County has a pretty good offense. The QB and RB they have are very good. But for what it's worth, Tarboro had almost 500 yards rushing against them when they played. If James kenan can run it effectively I like their chances. You are 💯 correct, I was just trying to mush them 😂😂. JK will have their hands full.
