It’s all about stability. Which has lacked in everyone category within that school. If they match up a good AD; Principal; Coach who wants to stay and build it up then they may have a chance

Not familiar with coach as I don’t follow Mtn heritage closer since I’m not closer to the mtn but ik they are always a top program!

While everyone complained about parochials @btango said 10 years ago charters were the real issue. Look where we are now. Guess ol Tango was right. Charters will be a bigger issue going forward too.
Oh, parochials and charters have incredibly strong lobbying arms at state legislature which controls NCHSAA.

I saw him play in the 2017 State Championship game. He didn't have his best offensive game but his defense was outstanding. He was the fastest player on the field and ran down a couple of Tarboro's backs from the opposite side of the field and saved touchdowns. His high school qb has graduated from college and is now a high school coach correct? Best of luck to the young man and hope to see him in the NFL. If you guys keep sending players to VT it will be known as VT Surry County Hokies.

Garinger has a staffing stability issue, period. From the administration to teachers. Saying that, Wilson has shown the tendency to stay at a school for quite some time before moving on. If you can get a staff member to stay at a school for 5 years nowadays, it’s good.

Garinger has had a year, with their principal at the beginning of the year being a terrible hire and already moving on. A number of staff members resigned or quit during that time. Hopefully the new principal stays there for several years to help stabilize staff.

Charter schools and private schools should be in their own division. They recruit players and don’t have the same rules as traditional public schools.

It might be time for traditional schools to go to a 4 hour per day, 4 days per week schedule also, which is the biggest draw for students to attend charter schools.

Didn’t realize that Cramer coach had won only 44 games in 11 seasons. 44-75 in 11 seasons. Cramer handpicked all of their teachers and coaches when the school opened.

Talk about a recruitment strategy, right? If coaches can’t even set rules without sweating bullets, how will the players know what the heck is up?
