Thomasville vs T.W Andrews

Completely agree. It's one thing the school board messed up so many things but fans in the community should never give up. That's what so discouraging about some of the comments. Oh and yeah, won't mention that guy again but hope he was tar and feathered.😁
He wasn’t a bad guy. Just in over his head. There was a lot of similarity between that hire and this one. My hope is that the result will be very different.

South Columbus @ Loris (SC)

Any team with a pulse will pecker slap south this year just like the last 5 or so years … but let’s keep expecting a different result doing the same thing … im done being nice about it …. Im interested in the improvement that people claimed they seen cause I haven’t seen nothing but more of the same nonsense

GO STALLIONS !
I mean the things I've seen so far are the fact that we are running our old school wing t under center. None of the shotgun crap we ran all year last year and I contribute that directly to Jake being involved with the team again. I never said I thought we were a state championship contender but the team that's on the field this year is light years ahead of the one that was on their last year. Bottom line is the change everyone keeps talking about happening isn't going to happen until the powers to be do something, and unfortunately me nor you are those powers. And simply put who is out there that's gonna come to south to replace him? Columbus County offers no benefit to anyone that they cant drive 5 minutes down the road and cross state lines and get much more of with less headache. Just got ask the numerous young coaches that have left us and are at green sea right now.

Thomasville vs T.W Andrews

Some folks may have given up. I’m not one of them. My negative comments have been directly or indirectly aimed at the school board. They’re hopeless. I just hope they stay out of the way and let the superintendent and staff do their jobs. That includes letting the athletic staff do theirs.

I do think you’re right about one thing. Fan expectations in Thomasville have always been unrealistic. Nobody, not even Tarboro, Reidsville, Shelby or Mount Airy wins a championship every year. With all the dysfunction leading up to this season, I consider a winning record and making the playoffs a success. And I never mentioned Coach Maxwell😊.

Tarboro vs TTATC(Southwest Edgecombe)

Oh nah, I don't believe that at all lol. Especially our QB saying that he's gonna throw for 300, knowing full well we will only throw it 6 or 7 times. We're still a run first team. Also hard for me to believe any of our coaches saying that we will blow Tarboro out. They know better. I interact with a few of them, and all I hear is how focused we need to be. But hey, nothing wrong with being confident and talking a lil smack. Heck, we did that during the Tarboro week when we were going 0-11 lol.
Talking smack is apart of this battle lol. Unfortunately I’m 1-3 against SWE 🥺. But my senior night we made up for it 🤣🤣

Tarboro vs TTATC(Southwest Edgecombe)

It’s definitely been a whole bunch of barking coming from SWE. Especially before the Eastern Wayne game. Coaches saying that they’re definitely gonna beat Tarboro this year. Even one coach going as far as saying they’re going to blow them out. QB saying he’s going to throw for 300+ on Tarboro. Alls I’m saying is DONT POKE THE BEAR! 🤷🏾‍♂️. I expect a great game for sure though

Catholic at Crest

Rain favors catholic I would imagine?
In the past, yes. We used to say that the Wing-T was an all weather offense. The past couple of years, a lot yards have come out of a gun/spread series which has been added to the mix. Crest throws more than Catholic but they still like to pound the ball down your throat too. Not sure I see an advantage either way. This game will come down who does a better job controlling the line of scrimmage and ultimately turnovers if conditions get ugly

MPC Week 4

ND vs Walkertown
OG vs North Forsyth
Ledford at ED
CD at Lexington
MC vs Orange County
Aboro vs Providence Grove

North is putting themselves in a hole that usually would be filled a bit by playing a smaller school like Walkertown. However, the Wolfpack are on a tear under ND grad Tripp Huneycutt and beat Salisbury, a team North lost to in week one. Then followed it up with a win over Forest Hills. With the defense getting blown away by the Davie passing game in the second half, ND desperately needs a win but it doesn't look like it will be nearly as easy as last year...

OG got back on track against Ragsdale and is operating methodically through the schedule as expected. They will face a 2-1 North Forsyth team that beat 2 weak opponents and got blown out by Mt Tabor. Look for the Grizzlies to continue their success in nonconference action before conference play begins in two weeks.

Ledford finally pulled through, dominating perennial doormat Wheatmore. East Davidson doesn't look much if any better... Panthers feast on Eagles this week unless something crazy happens like the WD game.

Central got into the winning column last week with a convincing win over rival West. Lexington is looking better this year but Central most likely continues their recent dominance of the still rebuilding Jackets.

MC looking good so far. They beat Orange County last year and look to continue their improvements under their coach the last few years.

Aboro also looking better this year. They may be able to keep that going against Providence Grove, we shall see.

What do we say fellas?

I'm so glad football is back in earnest. I missed this...

Butler vs Irmo

What starters did they lose, and where did they go?
I don't think he's saying that they lost starters due to transfers. As far as I know, no one transferred out of there. Butler was a senior heavy team last year. They lost nine starters on defense from graduation, so that explains the drop off on defense this year. The offense only lost 3 starters from graduation, so I don't expect much of a drop off in terms of talent. In fact, I think the few transfers they did bring in on offense this year are better than what they had last year. Oline probably will see the biggest drop off on offense this year.
