(19)KINSTON VIKINGS 9-4 @ (2)WHITEVILLE WOLFPACK 12-1
The Vikings are on a roll, and are playing better than anyone would’ve expected. They have won all three of their playoffs games on the road. Kinston is known for their air attack offense, but it's been their defense that's surprising everyone. The Vikings have beat two conference champs thus far in the playoffs, and their other playoff win was against South Columbus who finished 2nd in Whiteville's conference. The Wolfpack has been playing good, but not as dominant as one would expect. Will Kinston make enough stops on defense to pull off another upset on the road against a 3rd conference champ! We know that Whiteville has one very good DB, but Kinston is full of athletes at the receiver position. Kinston has played good against a power run team, holding Wallace to 14 points. For the ECC to be down this season they do make up half of the final 4 teams remaining in the east. And I believe Kinston goes to Whiteville and walks away victorious. Vikings 27 Wolfpack 17

(12)JAMES KENAN TIGERS 12-1 🐅 @ (1)NORTHEASTERN EAGLES 13-0
Heading into the last week of the regular season both of these teams seemed to be looking to collide in the Eastern Championship with both being undefeated. But my Tigers 🐅 had a slip up on the road in the Dog Pound, dropping them from a one seed to a twelfth seed, Giving the Eagles the one seed in the East. Well my Tigers 🐅 has gotten over their fear of dogs 🐕, and the Eagles has destroyed everyone in their path. Two teams that will match each other athlete for athlete, so who gets the edge in the trenches. Both teams have good size up front, and both can run and pass the ball. I think the difference in this one is that the Tigers are battle tested, and the Eagles are not. The Tigers are coming off an emotional overtime victory over the Bulldogs, will that play apart in getting the Tigers focused for a long bus ride, to face an undefeated Eagles squad. I do believe that my Tigers have the best secondary in the East, in three playoff games thus far, they have 5 interceptions, with two pick sixes. The Eagles defense is no slouch neither, holding 9 opponents to a touchdown or less. While their high powered offense has scored over 40 points in 12 of their 13 games. It's safe to say that my Tigers 🐅 hasn't faced a foe like this one this season, and I don't think Northeastern has faced a physical power run team like JK this season. So which offense can take control, and finish drives, or which defense can create turnovers to give their offense more opportunities? This should be a good one. And many have doubted my Tigers all season, while many have crowned the Eagles with the East Championship before the season started. After getting the monkey 🐒 off our back with the win over the Bulldogs last week, I believe my Tigers 🐅 will be ready for this challenge, and prove yet again naysayers wrong, and will give them Eagles their first and last loss of the season. Tigers 🐅 28 Eagles 21

Good luck to both Kinston and James Kenan, and let's have an ECC Eastern Championship game in Warsaw. That's a "down" ECC Eastern Championship game!!! LET'S GOOOO TIGERS 🐅

James Kenan and Kinston will be eliminated and there will be no more ECC threads after this week. Clearly biased and not realistic. Lol. Good luck

Grimsley vs Hough 12/6 Rd 4

Last two games at Jamieson Stadium in playoffs the last two years were 42-35 (‘23) and 40-37(‘22) in favor of the Whirlies. This may be the best Whirlie team in the Darryl Brown era. Everyone assumed that losing the two D-1 receivers would result in a weaker Grimsley squad. False.

Turnovers and special teams may make the difference. 34-24 Whirlies.

Corvian from watching videos look a power run offence they like to line up and run right at you between the tackles. I might be wrong but if I was a Mount Airy fan I would not over look this team they only gave up 14 points to Eastern Randolph also they climbed to 2nd in Maxx Preps overall 1a State Ranking with Mountain Heritage #1 and Mount Airy #3
Tarboro #4
We also don’t care about any max prep rankings. We have a 43 game win streak and play the toughest rpi and they still disrespect us and tarboro being a #4. Both of us should be 1 & 2, but we both know it. We let the other get a little confidence when they see it and then everyone will see when it is there time to prove it. Corvian up next to get to prove it

JK vs NE

Haven’t seen either team play but based in the comments from both teams posters, I think James Kenan will have to rely in the power running game to win this one. It does appear that the Northeastern offense is explosive. The best way I know to pressure a potent high octane offense is to limit possessions and make every possession critical. One holding call could derail a drive. It also appears the Northeastern defense is better too. If the defense is as capable as the posters say, James Kenan will have to dominate the line of scrimmage to win this one.

Don’t give Goobs a hard time. Yes, he is always over the top about his team and very proud of them - just like he should be. Posters give him a hard time but most teams would love to have a fan like him. He has been down the Duplin County road before and that’s why he wanted a DC team to make the drive to Elizabeth City this year. A shot at redemption, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that.

I will be pulling for James Kenan this Friday but I think it’s going to take an almost perfect game.

Don’t worry about Chopper either. He keeps things lively with well thought out posts and some meant to get under a fan base’s skin. (Especially eastern NC football). James Kenan has lots to be proud of and the hardware to prove it.

Definitely spot on, it will take a perfect game. Smash mouth football at its finest. Limit possessions and burn the clock

I hope you are right about a power run team because if they are it will be a very long night with probably one of the best defensive tackles/nose guard and one of the toughest most physical middle linebackers they have seen. We love for people to try to run it down our throats. We don’t overlook anyone we line up and play whoever is next and don’t look ahead so we will be ready come Friday.

Ashbrook @ North Lincoln

You had a late pass there and another one on the other side in the flat. Thrown on time….one is a TD and one is a first down. Dropped passes occur when a defender doesn’t have his hand in the catch. The one in the flat was at the receivers shoelaces so nobody got a hand near it.
You seem to have coveniently forgot the throw on far sideline that missed a receiver by 2 yards behind him and the game clinching Int thrown into triple or quad covg. No mention of that ?
Saw everything you saw. I elected not to narrate every play in the game. Some people get the big head if they feel they can pretend to be a play by play analyst in the NFL. You have a long way to go my friend.🤣
