Rico was the best high school player I ever saw, 5 was very special yesterday, but what Rico did to us was unreal
Rico is my top high school player also .... I was amazed at what he did against Shelby and I ended up going and watching him play 5 games that year.
Truck was a fun player also ... with his little lion tail on back was cool.
Now all my boys are finished with football ( man this sucks) I will be traveling somewhere different every Friday to see the best games like i did between my oldest son graduating and youngest sons

I don't have a personal issue with you at all. I just think you don't know what you are talking about most of the time and get too much childish enjoyment over trolling other teams' fanbases on here.

WRH are the 2A Eastern Champions. And they played the best high school team in NC, regardless of classification, close for one half. They had Shelby a little worried at half time. And they did so with the Wing T. Yes, the scheme has its drawbacks, as has been noted by other posters. But with the talent WRH has in the backfield, that is a good scheme for them to run. And it works for them. To attack them over it shows a lack of football knowledge in my opinion.

They didn't lose to Shelby because of their offensive scheme. In fact, Shelby had trouble with that scheme for one half. WRH needed better play from their defense. That is why they lost to Shelby, that and Shelby was just the better team.
Im not reading your book you just posted(I skimmed some). I'm not here to post how you want me to post. I'm here for entertainment of it all and I'm standing on the bridge I built over you. You live for my posts. Youre here because of me and you post because of me, not the other way around. I prefer not to interact with stale profiles like yours that just take up byte space on the internet. Keep it moving

🤣🤣

Sad thing is, you probably actually believe this.

You are the clown of ncpreps. Look around, everyone is laughing at you. Including me.🤣
You trying hard to convince yourself of this but the fact you cant ignore me is telling....on yourself lol

No pain at all. Don't care to comment on all that chest beating stuff. I slept better in the loss, than I would have winning
I've felt like that before.

Funny story I had an uncle that said he got better sleep drunk than when he was sober worrying about his life. When he was on the clean up path and going to church with his new wife, another church member called him an ole drunk. So not looking past it my uncle went and told the man's wife that it looks like the man has something going on with one of the usher ladies in church.

This caused a big ruckus and the pastor got involved and they had a sit down. He asked what started all this. The man said my uncle told the man's wife that he and one of the usher ladies were involved in some hanky panky.

The pastor asked my uncle "why did you tell his wife that?"

My uncle says "he called me a drunk, so I wanted to show him what us drunk people do."

Absolutely nothing wrong with the wing T. When run as good as WRh has this year it’s nearly impossible to stop. Our issue was like some have said is Shelby is one of the best teams in the state regardless of classification, also they were a lot bigger numbers wise. They didn’t have guys that had to go both way. #5, 9,1,and 6 our main offensive guys all had to go both ways and were worn slam out by the 4th qtr. Maybe WrH can start scheduling some of these pass happy teams from out west to prepare our defense for future state championships. What we do on offense works and I will not be convinced otherwise.

@dogs79 your not fooling me, that loss stung. Nobody remembers the runner up team, that is unless the runner up is NE. Then posters never let you forget it. You didn’t go into that game thinking you were going to lose, not with a back like Kanye anyways. I’m still hurting from the OT loss the Pack suffered to #1 Purdue yesterday. I felt like Nc State was the better team even though Purdue was ranked #1.

Couldn't be any prouder of the Dogs. Very positive community. Dogs overachieved by most. Our Dogs will represent the East again next year and get another shot at Shelby. Like Shelby, we got the talent years to come.

You definitely need some reading comprehension classes man. If you go back and read 95% of WRH posters knew how tough a task it was gonna be to beat Shelby, especially without any lucky breaks. They are a well coached, balanced, super athletic team with some of the best line play I’ve ever seen. I definitely wanted WRH to win but I’m not “stung” by the loss at all, can’t speak for the rest of course. For us to even make it to the championship this year when everyone said we couldn’t is what makes this loss easy to handle. The main 3 teams we wanted to beat were JK, ED, and NE and we accomplished that task. Runner up to Shelby is nothing to be ashamed of.

Both coaches said it best at half...

if we could get a stop or two we would be all right... Luckily for us we got a couple in the third that opened the scoring up......

That was one of the best Wing-T offenses Ive seen, three great backs, and what a lot aren't mentioning is those seal blocks on the edges, sometimes taking out 2 or 3 tacklers at one time giving 5 and 9 room to roam and break long ones... Impressive blocking... and those buck sweeps brought back many a great memory from those Coach Norman Shelby teams, he loved the buck series......
Coach Mot had those kids ready to ball... No chest beating from this old man, we had to play some ball to beat that team....It was fun to watch on both sides...

Shelby made some adjustments at the half defensively, and it paid dividends at the end.... Coach Wilbanks said all he needed to say at the end "We beat a GREAT ball club today" there is no doubt about that.....

Thanks Shelby Lion! Earned respect for both teams

I think most WRH fans would admit this was not one of their best defensive teams. Certainly good enough to get them to the championship but there was no Nate Irving like player(s) that could guarantee pressure on the QB. Had they gotten pressure they may have induced a rushed throw or forced a throw that he couldn’t step in to.
That being said, there will be years when the defense matches the offense which will allow the wing t to win in a non subdivided playoff.

Congrats to Shelby.

I can tell you without a doubt that had NE of played and lost to Shelby I wouldn’t have been happy finishing runner up. I would’ve thought Shelby would’ve been the team your dogs would’ve wanted to beat the most considering what was at stake.

You better learn to throw or your chances of winning a state championship are a lot slimmer. When Shelby got two scores ahead the game was over. If you had any sort of a passing game then your dogs would’ve had a shot to comeback, even against Shelby. Glad to know the dogs will win the East again. I wouldn’t be so fast to say that.

We’ll I can’t argue with you because we sure can’t beat your dogs. I still wouldn’t have gone into that game thinking my team was going to lose. I also wouldn’t be happy finishing runner up. I sure wasn’t the two times Reidsville beat us.

So, who you got? NE, Edenton Holmes, St Paul's,Princeton. Don't think any will beat WRH, ED or Whiteville
It depends on who has the most coming back. St pauls has Baldwin back, he will probably be the best back in the east and will command some offers.

Wrh has Montgomery back, I think he will have a big year.

No one said we thought we were going to lose. Always got hope. We all thought it was going to take the effort we gave and a few breaks. Look brother. This year was a success for us. Earned Shelby's respect and left it all out there. Can't win rings every year. The best defense in the State gave up almost 400 rushing to the best rushing offense in the country. Our offense was not the problem. If I attack NE the way you attack my Dogs, what would you be thinking?
