So with Davidson county going ahead and getting things out of the way this week, I am looking forward to this matchup. Maybe a little early, but who cares?

This game has major conference standing implications. Ledford seems to be good this year with only a setback to Randleman so far. The Bulldogs are looking better so far than they have in a while. The game last year was close on the scoreboard, with Ledford pulling off their first ever victory against Thomasville I believe. Someone correct that if I'm wrong...

Waddaya think boys? Go Dawgs!

You are correct. 14-1 in favor of Thomasville all time, with the lone loss to Ledford coming last year, 14-7. Wish I thought that would help us this year.

If any of my Bulldog ncpreps friends would like to get together before the game or in the stands, I will definitely be there on the Tville side rather than the North vs SR snoozefest. Ledford visitor side sucks, but it's better than the alternative... :p

How many coaches came over with the new head coach and are any coaches left over from the previous staff?

I can think of two coaches who stayed. One is a faculty member, one a former faculty member turned volunteer. There may be another volunteer who also stayed. We definitely are improved in the assistant category, as well as the head coach.

I agree with you tvilledawg- won’t be a cake walk this year to beat the Bulldogs !!!

Thomasville wins 21-13!! The running backs that Thomasville possess are fast and aggressive runners, which I love! The defense swarms pretty well to the ball and executes well. The thing that will hurt us in the end is our lack of size. My rest of season prediction for the dawgs is a top 3-4 finish in the conference and first round exit in the playoffs. We could possibly make a second round appearance given the right matchup but if we get a bad seed in the playoffs and get matched up with a real contender we could be in trouble. I do believe we are on our way back to be a real contender ourselves though!!

I'd love to see another Lincolnton- Thomasville matchup. What would it take to get this on the non conference schedule?

Would the Dawgs be small 2A?

I think Thomasville actually matchup very well with most team in small 2a. Their speed alone would pose huge threats to mountain teams and teams out east. Couple that with great coaching, Thomasville would be a potential problem for alot of small 2a schools

Strange the way the splits fall in 2A. Any 2AA team from the CCC with be going East but any 2A will almost certainly go west!

T-Ville-Ledford and Lexington-Salisbury should both be really good games but I see the game on the radio is Central-Oak Grove!! WOW

I'm excited for the fact that people are even talking about Thomasville in a positive way now....our D is really playing good ball right now,and that's just about always been our calling card...never flashy on offense...but aggressive on Defense...I was never a fan of this kind of offense I guess I'm saying that because the last time someone tried to run that style here it was a disaster, and to predictable...I was always use to that old trusty I-formation offense....Thomasville-Lincolnton would be great in non conference...I've always been a Lincolnton fan ,ever since that game in 94 at Lincolnton, that was on of the best HS teams I've ever seen,Lincolnton has some of the best fans and home atmosphere I've ever been to,but it's nothing but pure blasphemy that they don't have that bell anymore

Trust me, donors and boosters are not happy that the bell isn't there anymore. We're trying to change that.

I absolutely agree that the Lincolnton folks are class acts. Went to a game with my friend, Lincolnton (the poster) and met several folks who welcomed this old T'ville fan with open arms. Mutual respect and two proud traditions. Except when they're playing the 'Dogs, I always pull for Lincolnton and Shelby.

Someone from another school must have got offended by that bell...we do live in a PC country now,and it's just pathetic

Heck, I was offended by it! But that's because it was still ringing in my ears all the way home from that last playoff game down there. It sounded wonderful when it was pealing against East Lincoln.
On another thread, there was a mention that the bell was leased through the Navy, and the lease ended.

OC, you're right about the lease through the navy. I don't know specifics of the situation but from my understanding they were asking for more money and the school wouldn't pay for it. I know money is tight but for crying out loud we're the Band with the Bell

We understand Wolf. Things changed for us when our 77 year old superfan, Warren King, could no longer wave that big Bulldog flag. But we still have our 103 year old clock operator.
Maybe a booster fundraiser is in order.

Why not just go out and buy a bell

just curious about the Lincolnton Bell...I know that he had it in 2001 when the Wolves came to Reidsville and beat us in the playoffs...but when L'ton came back again I don't believe they had it then....that was 2013.....The 2 teams have played 4 times each winning 2...and ironically all 4 games played in Reidsville...Doug Robertson (now head coach at Thomasville) was an ass't coach for the Rams in 2001 game (he was all conf. player at Reidsville as O lineman graduating in 1993)......Sounds like it will be a great back yard brawl between the two teams (Ledford vs. Thomasville)...Sometimes the news media is clueless about which game should be a barn burner and which one is ho-hummer................................

We didn't bring it in 2013 because we couldn't find someone to haul it up there I believe, not sure.

Two more days... I can't wait... Must... Have... Football... (Stretches hand forward uselessly)

I'm telling you man it's all PC BS....I bet someone got offended said the smoke was bad for the environment probably lol
I'd be all for that. First they took the smoke away some years ago and now the bell. I can't believe what is happening at Lincolnton. Feels different to me.

Just a little heads up to the T-ville fans. I've seen Ledford once this season and they do have a really good defense, but their offense can be contained if you have a good defense. Not much creativity from the Panthers, and they like to run the ball first then look for the pass second. Of course Coleman Reich (UNC commit) is a playmaker, but if the Dogs can contain him when he plays offense they will have a chance in this one. DO NOT let him get behind the DB's, because if that happens and the QB makes an accurate throw, he will go to the house.

Reich can flat fly. I hope he has a very poor game Friday, then lights it up for four years for my Tar Heels!
