Been a long time but but here is my take.
NL is the real deal, 5 division 1 athletes (Price (football), Brady (football), Soorus (whatever he wants but I think chose track), Whitley (baseball) and Williams (football)) some strong D2 possible small D1 athletes in Daniel Carter, Jack Carter, Alberti and the kicker, probably more but those are the ones that stick out. They play well together and Coach Bazzle to his days in NC has been a thorn in EL's side. Hats off to the man he is good at what he does. They absolutely punished EL
Lincolnton has a great coach in Glass, right now match up wise due to their size not ability will struggle with WL/NL/Bandys type of offense but trust me it is not due to lack of coaching or athletes (and more are coming) if some size comes with them and with Coach Glass coaching Lincolnton's stands will be filled soon enough. Also let me add, as EL did last year injuries have mounted on to an already thin group
WL is having from what I have seen their best years here, testament to the coaches that have stuck it out, difference last couple of years is they have some speed, a special group of kids came in and stuck together and believed in the system that is 90% of the battle. They have always been tough but now their focus is on winning and not on 1 on 1 battles.
EL has bounced back nicely after a sub par year last year, some teams that typically have not beat them have come around. Listen it happens, cycles happen, but love the coaches energy. The group of kids right now are exactly what is needed to get EL back to their consistent winning ways. Have a very talented JR, FR group and the middle school group coming up the next 2 years will bring some excitement to the park.
Some of this pains me to say, but is the truth as I see it, not sure what next year will look like but I am excited to see what the end of this year brings. Good luck
