Shelby and Reidsville

All you shelby people said ER would beat reidsville and we beat them with a running clock lol a team from yall conference. 2aa west was 2 teams deep. Rest was garbage.
How deep was 2A West? Reidsville only, in my opinion. Up until recently, Heritage was a perinneal first or second round exit. Lincolnton fell off, Shelby went to 2AA, now Heritage comes up, virtually a lock for the third or 4th round, depending on when they run into y’all. Go figure!
We beat lincolnton when we played them too. Several times. Reidsville had a rebuilding for seemed like 5 years. And most believed this sophomore led team was talented but still rebuilding. Il take a 16-0 rebuilding year any year haha the best part about these 2 traditions is the excitement in the fan base. And the support. No one expected shelby nor reidsville to win it all. And they both did. Can't beat that.
come on don east and plan some non-conf games!

Wiz...I would love to see some home and home matchups with Clinton.....travel I guess would be the drawback for a non-conf. game....but I would make the trek......................
Shelby beat Reidsville in 2005, Reidsville beat them in 2007,only time played in Championship, where was Shelby in 2008,2009,2010,2011,2012 suerly not winning a Championship like Reidsville did, as a matter of fact East Forsyth is this years 4A State Champion they play our JV but not varsity, when Northern Guilford was on our schedule winning champiionships no one complained, i just wish sometime people would give Reidsville credit where credit is due,oh by the way Rams added Magna Vista,Va to schedule right after they'd won back to back Virginia State Titles.

Anybody else that watched both games knows Shelby would have destroyed you. Subdividing classes is the best thing that's happened to Reidsville. You've won your last 2 championships not having to play the best teams in your OWN classification (Hibriten, South Point, Shelby, Monroe and Huss (when they were 2A)) and you lose to a team who was 1A the year before. You're luckier than you are good.

They are decent. They would have beaten all of those directional Lincoln county schools. I didn’t say it was murderous row but it was just tougher imo
Does anyone on here know the company that made the hat that your coach was wearing during the game? It had the state with logo inside like ECU midfield logo. Could you possibly upload a close up picture of the hat?
As an outsider that watched both games I would have to say Shelby was the best team that I watched in 2A. Actually they were the best team I watched 1A-3A. That's just my opinion though. Like I said though I'm just an outsider, that loves watching high school football. Congrats to both on their respective Titles though!!!

It's nice to have 16-0 rebuilding years.
Some notes about Reidsville's schedule. The Rams beat a couple of 4-A teams that made the playoffs. One of those schools - Northwest Guilford - handed 3-A finalist Southeast Guilford its only loss until the state championship game.
As for next year, after those 4-A schools dropped Reidsville, the Rams have added strong 3-A program Eastern Guilford along with 1-AA finalist East Surry and 4-A High Point Central.

Let's look at it this way....had there been one unified 2A bracket over the last 3 years, would Reidsville have sniffed a title game? I guess the better question would be what round would they have been eliminated in?
Again, subdivision or a rival association has been Reidsville's greatest fortune. And again.... sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

With the volume of hot air that you produce, you'd think Shelby's record against Reidsville in State Title games was far better than 1-1. The vast majority of Reidsville fans respect Shelby's great program and tradition. Unlike them, you are unwilling to reciprocate that respect. You seem to be absolutely consumed by envy that your program trails Reidsville in the most important stat out there... trophy count.
Reidsville and Shelby are state championships but I don't guess it's validated till you trash all your competition its not enough to win on the field most of you people sound like a bunch of spoiled brats.neither team was no jugunat this year my god Shelby got bet by burns and Reidsville had three strait battles where they won 3 games by I belive 13 points the truth is there was not no team in 2a or 2aa that was no beatable this year ,we all shoud be praising the way these kids represented there community's and the sportsmanship they showed if only some of the fans could see this .it's just as easy to say something good as it is to put these kids down that put the work in and strap it up on Friday nights not ever school in the state has the athletes these two programs have but that don't mean they don't work just as hard it's fun to win but it's not everthing football teaches these kids discipline and how to work with others to accomplish a set goals I don't believe most of the people on these boards ever played football because the first thing you learn is to respect your appoinent not all these kids can win a state championship but from the games I watch they all played and acted like winners I did not see one loser and I'm proud of all of them

Man, this thread is useless. All I know is we played them 4 times. We are 3 and 1 two wins at their place. 112 points for Shelby and 56 for Reidsville in those 4 head to head. That's really the only facts there is the rest is just he said, she said. Both have been out of this world and both will continue to be so.
