Congratulations to Ryheem Skinner. I remember him from the Shelby - Clinton State Championship game. He was only a freshman and had a long TD run. Very special player.

I thought he deserved the MVP too. Kid really ran hard. First time I ever saw him but I kept thinking this kid is another"bus". (Jerome Bettis) I was dissapointed one of our kids Shaundre Mims didn't get defensive MVP. He had 4 sacks and several tackles. He gets after it and is always going hard to the ball. I enjoyed the game. East played some tough defense. They tried a 47 yd fg which the West blocked and ran down to about the 3 and ended up kicking a field goal after consecutive loss of yards. Fun game.

What is his status on playing in college?

He will be playing at a junior college in California hopefully in 2 years earning a scholarship to a bigger D1 or D2 University.....Allan Hancock College believe its in the LA area....Santa Maria California

Good luck to the young fella heading out to LA, hoping some D1 school gives the kid a chance. One of Lincolntons guys went out there to play and just committed to Colorado State so its possible for the small town kids to make it happen out there.

East/West All Star Game #77 Jarvi Thomas Edenton/Holmes O/L was opening some big holes and making some good block for Skinner and the QBs from Holmes #9 ran the read option well based on the short time they had for practice I wasn't at the game but I heard those guys played extremely well. I heard Luke Hoggard is walking on at UNC as a safety of DB's.

Yes I also heard that #77 Jarvi Thomas from Edenton/Holmes made some tremendously block to open the holes for him to get those 94yds. and Luke Hoggard ran the read option very well for him in the short time they had to practice.

Yea, he was clearly out of bounds, and for some reason video replay kept showing it over and over and over again, to the point we were laughing about it because the officials had to be thinking, dude we blew that, hope it doesn't come down to a close game. It didn't, so it's over, big win Shelby, let us have our 7, even if the refs blew it. LoL. Good luck this year lions, Dax to Carolina I hope.
