Reidsville vs. Shelby in third round of 2-A West?

Like fishing in a barrel! Too easy.
Let me cast another line: Football Capital of N.C. Can we get another bite?
We must remember to cut Champ 98/72/XX slack this week.

He is experiencing major, major stress levels at the thought of having to make the trip to Belmont . Suffering from a week long bout of sleep deprevation has got his mind in a bad way. Or I should say a worse say than normal.:(

You Reidsville guys start the thread.
Then you call us out.
Then you bring up the book, and the bogus fake claim.
Then we respond, as we always will, to tell the truth and set the record straight.
You are not the "capital" of anything.
You would not even be emboldened to run your mouths had you not avoided Shelby last season, cakewalked through your regular season and playoffs to defeat for the title a team that could not even execute a punting game.
And it counts the same as a 2AA title won by a Shelby team that shutout the eventual 3A champion and defeated the two time defending 3AA champion IN THE REGULAR SEASON. A team that finished with a playoff run against the defending 2AA champion (who beat the eventual 3AA champion), and two others, all of which competed with such large 3A numbers that they cleared the realignment up to 3A when many small 3A dropped to 2A.
Think about that a minute.
That list of team accomplishments in one season will never again be duplicated.
And they never trailed in a game all season.
But Reidsville's title counts the same.
As it should.
You attempt, once again, to discredit WNCHSAA titles, yet NCHSAA title teams have lost in the same season to "also-ran" WNCHSAA teams that failed to make it's playoffs.
But, they count.
As they should.
Former WNCHSAA member programs have emerged as strong or stronger than NCHSAA members pre-merger.
There are those in your own camp that acknowledge multiple associations result in multiple champions. All equal.
As they are.
But you can't help yourselves.
And you cowardly avoid the glaring 31 straight recent seasons with not even an appearance.
Reidsville was dominant before 1970, with most titles before facemasks, as they avoided perhaps the better 3A WNCHSAA.
Shelby's performance since 1970 is unmatched in NC and dwarfs Reidsville's.
Don't make us do this again.

Do it all you would like. No one cares but you.

Actually not at all....been saying for a while now Shelby by 10+. No worries whatsoever.

Kinda like you now that the ADMs are out. You get your cakewalk...congrats.

Cake walk or cake walk y'all still want win this year maybe next year Reidsville

Hope you don't do any heavy betting Shelby -10 ( I am assuming you are predicting that Shelby will beat S.Point by 10+ points.

We are still hoping the stars will align perfectly after all the games are played tomorrow night and your Golden Lions will be 2A so your fondest wish of playing Reidsville again will come true.

Still counting those Pee Wee League "titles" Champ 98/72/XX?

Guess you forgot to mention that for over 60 years your greatest team in the history of the world played Big Fish in Little Pond WNCHSAA and racked up all those "titles" without having to play in the real state association, the NCHSAA.

Guess the stress of facing getting beat in Belmont Friday is getting a little too much to handle. Sleeping much lately?
Something you might not have thought about is the distance and the time it took to travel to Raleigh back in 50 and 60 no interstate.

Shelby's history is pretty good, but it's not on Reidsville's level. There's can be only one Capital.

@seadog28 You see this is what annoys us about Reidsville, posts like this^^^^, and take this season for example, they blow out a cupcake like McMichael, and swear this is the greatest, fastest, best defense and offense Reidsville has ever fielded. The entire schedule they have played isn’t even a combined.500.

I got you, but I remember those teams during their long winning streak. They were damned good and at least at the level of the Golden Lions' better teams.

Keep on keeping on, I personally love the back and forth between two proud programs.

Reidsville's schedule is dictated by the NCHSAA realignment and in-county obligations. The other four games were against 4-A Northwest Guilford and Winston-Salem Reynolds and Magna Vista and High Point Andrews, a couple of teams who won state titles in recent years. (Andrews in 2013 and Magna Vista in 2015). Note: Reidsville's ADM is 743; Northwest checks in at 2,244 and W-S Reynolds at 1,778. They tried to assemble the best schedule possible.

All that said, this is the first year that strength of schedule could cost Reidsville a No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

Heck yeah! They are a great program, one of the best in the history of NC football, much respect for them, but they kill me calling us arrogant, and they epitomize it, the pot calling the kettle black.

Much dumber than your typical troglodyte Crest fan... I am more convinced that he/she/it is a love child after a one night tryst between a South Point fan and a Crest fan after an all night bowlorama and subsequent Wild Irish Rose drinking session
Lol

In head to head matchups, though.
Shelby 3 Reidsville 1
Including two beat downs, arse whippings, in which you guys didn’t even score an offensive touchdown, but yet, was very happy that you scored, period, almost as if y’all won. One of the crazy things I’ve ever witnessed. You guys all in unison, like a scene in the movie, 300. “Yes! We scored! Long live the streak.” That streak of scoring in a game is very important to you all.

I wouldn't call 17-7 a beat down, but I get you point LA. I'd be willing to bet if our QB in 14 actually knew how to play QB and wasnt worried about averaging 10ppg on the hardwood, score might have been 17-14 :)

Good luck tonight, no matter the outcome, bigger games are on the horizon!

Actually the most amazing record is 55 straight wins, second only to Charlotte Independence in state history. Not being shut out since the 1997 is also sweet.

The 2014 game wasn't a beat down. Wasn't the score 14-7 late in the 4th? Reidsville offense was bad though. 2013 was an absolute beat down.

Function of your schedule....just like this year and last. You play NO ONE! Including the championship game last year....NO ONE!

Put who am I kidding....y'all love cupcakes.

They were excited because it was a pick 6. What many outside of Reidsville have no idea about is our QB that year was one of the most talented we've ever had but was just as big of a head case. Our best player was sidelined. Is and was what is was. Just like the Lincolnton posters last year who thought we weren't what we were last year. Unless something changes tonight, we won't get the chance to play you guys. Not saying who would win but promise it would be one of the best games in the state in any division.

Shelby was one of those 55 consecutive wins. Reidsville thanks Shelby for its contribution to history.
Yeah....you had to do it from the east. You couldn't nor wouldn't have done that from the West. You cakewalk into the championship game and whoever was coming from the west had to run a gauntlet to get there. They were banged and bruised...you were as fresh as a baby's new diaper. A winning streak is more a function of who you play....

One thing about it, the Rams have won the State from the east and from the west. Nobodys cares about this sad opinion.

Benefit of the split classifications last year or you would have had another 49-3 bow out. Remember....Reidsville has always been a benefit of split classes or rival associations. They were absent from championship play during the decades of unified champions.

Followed up with the Raleigh New and Observer and they are sticking to their story that Reidsville is playing Shelby in the 2nd Round. Dan Kane assured me that it is true and that if it does not happen, he will petition the NCHSAA to make it happen or to possibly ban both teams from future playoffs. All of Shelby and Reidsville's state championship banners will come down per Mr. Kane.

Shelby now stands a 44 consecutive game streak over 2a and 2aa schools.
Thats like 5 years without a loss to a 2a school. And with that 4 titles.
Thats pretty impressive, Ok now bring on the crap talk, i know its comming! :)

This gets about as confusing as trying to decipher one of richblackmanwannabebraves' rambling posts.

IIRC, Reidsville went through the West like a hot knife through butter last year.
