What a tremendous performance by Reidsville defense ... Chase was averaging 52 points a game and had scored no fewer than 35 in any game.

The Rams held the talented runner who had 300+ yards last week to almost nothing tonight. I think he broke loose one time for about 20 yards. Being forced into passing situations was not a winning formula for Trojans ... Rams' added to their already impressive interception collection although state leader Neal didn't get one tonight.

Rams offense was uneven tonight but did manage to put up 30 points with some clutch plays on third and fourth downs.

I'll post some final yardage numbers later.

Several players played sick tonight including the QB. Probably explains the offensive inconsistency.

I always wonder if the players on the other teams know that kendre is a freshman. He's so big and plays like he's older already. Put 30-40 pounds on that kid and he's unstoppable at end.

Mendoza, Widerman and Pinnix had interceptions tonight. Chase's passers were 9 of 20 for 61 yards.
The Chase rushing total was 98 yards on 26 carries. 49 of those yards came on a single play in the closing minute against Reidsville reserves. Rams limited Rudisill to 30 yards on 15 carries. He had a 17-yard gain for his longest play ... he actually gained 51 yards but was dropped for 21 yards in losses.

Reidsville had 280 yards total offense ... 213 passing and 67 rushing. Chase did a great job of stopping the Rams running game. Unheralded standout tonight for Rams was punter Devin Shryock. Five punts for a 37.2 average, one of them pinned Trojans back to the 5-yard line.
Lee, who missed a lot of practice this week with illness, was 12-of-18 for 163 yards and two TDs. Neal caught 5 passes for 66 yards, completed a pass for 13 yards and ran once for a 13-yard TD.
