Reidsville 2A State Champs

Not overly concerned about it at the moment, but that’s a great point, though. Crest has always been seen as attracting the most recruiters in the county. Kings Mountain has the casino now, which will attract more people to move there. Burns isn’t a concern.
..schools in Cherokee Co SC, Rock Hill-S.C., Meck, Lincoln, Gaston, Catawba counties, possibly as far as Greenvlle/Sptbrg SC. You all share the same poole of transfers in the 704 radius and across state lines.

Spring Covid Season, your QB was from Indian Trail, SC if I remember correctly

It appears we are not going to run out of things to talk about. It seems the same problems exist for two great programs. As my British raised room mate and friend would say, "we have to see what we are on about!"

This is off topic but is Buns suppose to be good again at baseball?

Kind of like Jed Clampett understanding Carl Sagan! I am billions and billions of miles ahead Mr. Overnite.

Ok I don’t want to get in the middle of y’all’s little thing but…
If you go back and watch the shows Uncle Jed was smartest feller in all situations…
Especially in the black and white ones..
Now ya’ll can go ahead…

With the homemade likker still sittin' beside the cement pond while Elle Mae sunbathed, I"d have to say Granny was the brains of the outfit. Most of the time Jed was at Mister Drysdale's bank attempting to woo and coo Ms. Hathaway before he picked up Jethro from his day of academic achievements at Potts' School. Jed would also carry a fresh bottle of Ibuprophen with him because Jethro had been takin' his iron hat on and off his head and he would have some unbelievable headaches. Plus, how many fat wallet banker types did you see hangin' around the cement pond hoping to catch the eye of the scrumptious Elle Mae ? None, because Granny would have put a cap in their arse.

Ms. Hathaway sat beside the cement pond, of Jethro she was violently fond.
For her he could not have given a rat's arse
As Granny stirred the intoxicating likker, from Ms. Hathaway one could hear a snicker
She assumed the Clampet's were a hillbilly farce.

Jed had just fetched Jethro from Potts' School, dyin' to jump into the cement pool
He dropped his iron hat at Ms. Hathaway's feet
She loved the fact Jethro was in school , as her left hand held the likker dranken tool
Jethro's intuitive nature didn't miss a beat.

Ms. Hathaway thought Granny was a meanie, as she sat donning her French cut bikini
Jethro showed her his fingers with blisters
" You're a mighty strong man, " she exclaimed, " You may wind up with fortune and fame. "
From her bathing attire out plopped one of her sisters

Jethro's eyes got bigger than a margarita glass, her face redder than a chimpanzee's ass
Jed did not know what to thank
" I've only seen one and it was a cow's big udder," under his breath Jethro muttered
Of the white likker Granny took a big drank.

Jethro and Ms. Hathway rode away on a big white horse, swearing they'd never divorce
Both filled with excitement to be newlywed lovers
Strange things happen in this thing called life, such as Jethro taking her as his wife.
We should never judge a book by simply lookin' at the cover.

too bad this is all fantasy since Nancy Culp (Ms. Hathaway) played for "the other team" in real life............

I feel that Shelby has a way better chance of losing kids to the portal because of good football teams in close proximity to them....Rams are the only competitive team in that county and really only other choice would be 30 mins down the road at Grimsley
Dudley is closer only 20 min

The maiden that clicked my personal trigger was Margaret Drysdale, the semi alcoholic wife of Mister Drysdale. I realize she was half drunk half the time, but she had that Mary Tyler Moore/Cher/Sharika vibe and aura about her person. I bet if you took a poll up in here, eight out of ten gentlemen would feel the same way, but doubtful if any would have the strong feelings that I had/have for her. She also had a tad of Julie Childs' squeakin' voice thing goin' on, plus her fancy cookin' skills would have come in handy for one's culinary desires. It would be a toss up to which maiden, in my dreams of course, which one would have made the best/erotic/exotic prom date.

@GSO-Triple5 as usual your gift of spinning a yarn is quite entertaining. Both entries in this thread have been, while interesting as well as provocative, somewhat disturbing…
I would however like to know your thoughts another character from the show. Jethro’s cousin Jethrine…
I anxiously await your response…
This rivals your tales in fencing which I’m sure only a few of us have had the privilege to peruse…
As always well done sir.
Well done indeed…

With all due respect, Mister Kidd, your previous post indicates a subliminal desire for Margaret Drysdale. If you do/did, I like totally understand.

Me and Boog was giving them Burlington boys a hard time at the beginning of the season. I think they had 5 tackles combined between the 2 last year.

Hard to believe…Sharpe….a QB…moved to defense and makes 130 tackles. Do what? 🫵

Tip of the cap.😉

Sharpe was/is a terrific defensive player...lots of interceptions and pass break ups as well as tackles...had 2 huge interceptions in the Shelby game....................not doing bad on the basketball court as well averaging 21 points in the first two games..........
