PISGAH & TUSCOLA

Ahuuu ahuuu.wah wah wah. They wrote mean things on our game ball daddy tube sox. Apparently the big city Floridian snowflake mentality has infiltrated Waynesville worse than originally thought. Shame really.

I'm glad to see a bunch of grown men, especially one who is the Tuscola beat writer, revel in the "issues" of a couple of young men. "Oh yeah, boys will be boys.....Right?" IS that what you are saying?

"Our administration has enough class to let their kids celebrate. Theirs doesn't plain and simple." Oh, you mean tearing down a baseball fence? Or stealing and defacing a game ball? That kind of celebrating? But you are right about one thing. Tuscola does NOT allow these things to happen, (or at least makes their best effort not to.) They feel it is better act like they've won before.

Whoa Mule I am glad you switched over to the Tuscola side, because us Bears don't want you and your sissified ideas and whining creeping their way into our program. Personally, I prefer my life to be a mix between an episode of Springer and Wrestlemania. Full of suspense, action, and body slams. You guys keep complaining and we will just keep shoving our size twelve where the sun don't shine on gamedays. BEARS GONNA EAT! WHOOOOO!!!

Mule you are real nice un. Why don't you move to Waynesville where you belong? And the next time you come into a Canton business trying to hand out your Mountie propaganda I sincerely wish someone would escort you to the door. You really don't get it dude.

Wrong mule. Wrong. They feel it is best to squash the celebration when the other team wins. Grown men in uniform throwing around teenage girls and boys. When they win it's no holds barred. You are really a one sided blinded by the black and yellow light convert aren't you?

Hey guys can you pray for my friend Billy? He's a Tuscola fan that really defines everything Tuscola represents. He's been going through a lot this week, with knowing the Bears have beaten his Mounties the last four years and his girlfriend broke up with him. The only positive is the girlfriend said they can still be cousins, even after the break up.

You're right there is a new sheriff at Pisgah, and she's a lot more of a man than yours. She's one of us whether you like it or not.[/QUOTE]
She might be "one of us", but she is not going to put up with your coaches and players antics like Bailey did. Your head coach found out real quick this week that he is no longer running the show at school. I don't think he likes the new sheriff too much:).

You guys talking about stomping on the floor calling each other names .I am old school .Remember when one of our QB was beat up after a game we won .Was nothing unusual to see several fights break out in the stand 's ,bomb threats.Canton youth stayed out of Waynesville and Waynesville youth stayed out of Canton..Compared to then today is not even close. So enjoy the game.Nothing in high school football compared to the rivalry and compassion of fans on both sides. This is the games the players will remember all their life and tell their grandkids about. It's what high school football is all about. The players get no pay work all year and look forward to" the game"As for us fans win or lose there's always next year. Here's hoping we have an injury free game.Go Bears.

Great post. Times sure have changed. Who could ever forget the bomb threat.

How bout your perfect boys tearing apart and vandalizing the visitor's dugout at our baseball field Mule? This was your team not fans. How bout that Mule? Class personified. You guys like to think you're superior in so many ways don't ya? Guess what. You're just like us. And back when you somewhat admitted that it was a lot more fun. We have picking in the park, you have HART. We have a labor day parade, you have the Folkmoot Parade. We have the big Mill, you have High Country. We have Southern Porch, you have Birchwood Hall. We have bluegrass, you have chamber music. We're just not ashamed of who and what we are and don't try to cover it up. I don't think Waynesville even remembers what they are anymore. Not enough natives left to remember. Sadly.

Oh really. How so? Tell me just exactly what you know about that Shine. Give me some details. Your bowtie wearing wuss of a principal refuses to even accept that your perfect kiddos do anything wrong.

You should be embarrassed that I know more about what goes on with your program than you do. Sure, our kids do things wrong, but they are discouraged from the top not to do so. You need details?? Seriously? Get out of the smog and find out what is going on with your team.

I know exactly what's going on. A heck of a lot more than you know it all. Or if you know so much go ahead and give me some details.

Let me tell ya something Shinetime brother, you can rest assured that our coaches and administrators don't encourage illegal and immoral behavior and don't try to cover it up. Can you say not cover it up? Can you say not lie about it? Now having some good clean rivalry fun is encouraged and should be from both sides. Oh yes I forgot Waynesville is now covered in a snowflake smog.

Good clean fun is great. We got to keep at each other; it's in our blood. Hope you guys from Canton enjoy the game.

Thanks. You too. At the end of the night I pray that everyone is injury free and safe. And you're exactly right. Getting after each other is what has made this what it is. All of us locals from both sides don't need to let oitsiders take that from us. On the other hand if folks want to move here and embrace this spirited rivalry we should encourage it. Nothing wrong with a little juvenile fun occasionally. There's a lot worse things going on all around us.

It's alright fellas, they'll show their true side tonight if their team wins. It'll be like they won the damn super bowl. If they don't win, you'll not hear another word from em. They'll have better more important things to do.

Yes i am glad too. I dont feel it appropriate to advocate, or even to associate with outright criminal behavior which has become all too common at Pisgah high school. Attitude reflects leadership. This behavior trickles down from the top, and based on the comments here, (and many others) is not only tolerated, but encouraged by a support base system that seems to think these things are OK.

Mule =I tried to stay out of this but couldn't.How ypu got from talking about a great rivalry between two schools to attacking the students and the coaches I think just shows you for what you are. We are all born ignorant but someone like you has to really work at it to remain that way.

Note: Good deflection, at least you didnt issue a denial of the ongoing vandalism or other outright illegal activities that have been condoned in Canton toward Tuscola, their coaches, admin etc, especially lately. In the name of "celebration." Attitude reflects leadership. An important point to remember.

"to attacking the students and the coaches"
How did I get here? It surely has nothing to do with what I have personally seen go down recently, including the last few days. In social media, and on and OFF field behavior, not just this year, but for several years would it? There is the usual pregame antics and banter, which is normal, but the behavior has spiraled completely out of hand, bordering on outright criminal behavior and beyond that is something else again. Yes, it IS a rivalry game. With the KEY word being GAME. Maybe some of you would do well to remember that too....Win or lose. Again, Actions AND Attitude reflects leadership. Later I am certain we will talk more of this.

Chappell better start polishing up the old resume', last time his little boys club got rowdy, people went to jail and poof he's at the outhouse on the Pigeon. Stay classy Bears.

So what was done about the post-game bird flipping last season by those precious darlings?

They flipped you guys the bird last year? If so I'm proud of them. Way to represent boys! Now they just need to shoot a moon at the entire crowd and Whoa Mule's head might explode

Was a little off on my prediction, but my point still stands. TUSCOLA IS GARBAGE!!!! Couldn't even fill up their side of the stadium. Weather must have been a little too rough for all of the Snowbirds. Or was it what I truly believe happened? That they already knew the Bears were gonna give em that whoopin and didn't want to show their faces. FIVE IN A ROW!!! WHOOOO!!!

Tuscola didn't want any. Their offense is designed to be tougher than the other team. Good luck on that against the Milltown boys! As long as they run that gimmick of an offense the Bears are gonna keep mauling them and Pursley will continue having to send Chappell a card on Father's Day! How many in a row before we start considering playing you guys like playing Enka? (Just a rivalry for Enka) On second thought, Enka may have been a little tougher.

Most dominant performance in a long time in this game. The only way tuscola scored was on a free play for a fg. Then on a fumble by us in our own end zone that tuscola recovered. They shouldn't have scored at all.

A lot of times you can blame a loss on refs, turnovers luck or a number of other things. Not tonight. Tuscola was outplayed. Period. The bye week may have hurt, who knows. I didn't see the want to in the Mounties. Congrats.

Way to go Bears beat them worse than I thought.Coach Chapell has Pursley number.Five in a row , series record 27-26-1.Got some tough games left but you guys proved tonight you're getting better every game.Good luck to the Mounties the rest of the year.

Mule you are a disgrace. The way some of your boys behaved on the field tonight didn't exactly reflect the high standard you preach about. You make me want to gag really. Enjoy your high standards with a big old dose of butt whooping. Are you going to write us a good article in the paper? Maybe you can hawk your Big T material at the labor day festivities in Canton. On second thought........

WTB Coach Brooks back.....:(

You don't believe Pursley can get it done? He had a great team last year. This is probably just a bump in the road. Hes won all over so I wouldn't be so quick to give up on him now. Its just their second game after all.

Either way Brooks isn't walking through that door and I'm not sure he could coach todays athlete. A lot of those kids would get their feelings hurt. ;)

Our new "Sheriff" was in the middle of our post game celebration leading the cheers with our players and cheerleaders. I think she is going to get along just fine with our coaches and players.
