Pisgah did play well, no doubt, and they usually know how to deal with Franklin, but there were a couple things that probably wouldn't happen again a second time.
One, QB and his receivers were just not connecting. Sometime the throw was long (and a Pisgah player made a SportsCenter quality interception on an overthrow) and sometimes those overthrows were from receivers hesitating on deep routes. At least one overthrow was from a pretty plain-but-subtle defensive holding over the middle, but those happen I guess.
Two, and the moment was pretty important so I won't say it was wrong, but having the entire team take a knee on the field for ten minutes at halftime while celebrated 75 years on that field probably did not help.
Play this game again and the outcome could easily be the reverse. But we only play it once, that is what happened, and the loss sealed the fate of that game being the last on the Bermuda at the Panther Pit.
Grats to Pisgah, I hope your field situation turns out well moving forward. We will see you in Franklin in a couple years or so after we get our new one.
