I've heard they were and I quote "going to take out Clinton, ED, and win state this year" from multiple sources from the NS camp in the past two weeks. They are cocky for sure. It's funny how, after one good win, everyone jumps on the Monarch bandwagon (even Clinton posters). East Duplin has been playing good football all season and it will show Friday night. Let their actions do the talking and not what these bums up here have to say. The Panthers will be ready.
its one thing for some of the fans to talk smack. thats just what some fans do. but when players from a team publicly talk smack, that's a whole different thing. that's what i call arrogance. hopefully we can bring them back down to earth Friday night.

The best team definitely didn't win last week either, but NS won and that's it
yeah, essentially they are a 3A team. congrats to Northside. although i still believe Clinton and East Dulin both have better overall teams than Northside, that doesnt really matter now. in this particular game i have to give Northsisde credit. both teams played great defense, but the NS defense played just a little bit better. our only touchdown came on a fumble recovery in the endzone by our defense. we moved the ball at times, but for the most part the NS defense held us in check. our defense did a great job as well, but we gave up the occassional big play and that ultimately decided the game. in that last scoring drive for NS, they wasted no time exploiting the fact that our starting QB, who also starts at corner, was out injured, as they completed two passes which they ended up scoring on. i give Northside credit, they have a knack for making the big play when it counts.even when it looks like they may be a little outmanned.............ok, i have been a good sport up to this point and gave NS their credit. now im going to keep it real. they earned this victory. BUT!!! iqm not going to be a good sport and wish my conference rival luck in winning the state title. unlike some of you guys and gals, i find no joy in seeing my rivals win. especially on my field. for this reason i hope Shelby puts a beatdown on Northside. call me a poor sport or whatever. i really dont care. my allegiance lies only with East Duplin, not to any of my rivals. i despise the cockiness of some of the Shelby fans, but i need Shelby to win yet another state title, and keep my conference rivals from winning a title before my Panthers do. its easy for some fans whose schools have already won state titles to hope they win it, but for fans of scools like me, whose school has never even made it there, but have had many great teams that were championship caliber, its very hard to route for your rival to do something your team hasnt even done. just saying. now Shelby, go and win another state title, and deny my "former as of now" conference rivals (who are really a 3A team anyway) their first state title.
