Northeastern did schedule us in 2012-2013 and from what I've been told they do TRY to schedule some better clubs OOC but travel all the way to Elizabeth City is tough on teams.
Look. I know they play a bunch of tomato cans in conference but they have shown well enough OOC in the playoffs and against teams like ED and Wallace to know there is talent there. They will put it together one year and we'll all be sorry when they do.

Well stated, we can only try and schedule up in ooc. Coach Moore can't force these teams to play us. One thing is for sure though, come playoff time you can't avoid anyone.

- Let me go ahead and put this out there for all to read.NORTHEASTERN WILL WIN THE EAST. This is my opinion and shouldn't reflect on any other Northeastern posters. I don't care about how strong the teams from down south are. I don't care about their rings,jackets,or traditions. This means nothing because this year the best team in small 2a in the East is right here in Elizabeth City. I welcome the opportunity to play SWO, CLINTON, and WRH. I talked smack up here last year and WRH came in here and beat us. It was the toughest loss I've ever been apart of. I had a great time hanging out with the WRH crew. We all got along good and we could talk trash amongst each other while still having fun. Playoff time is the best time of year for me. Everyone,including myself who has talked trash all year now gets their chance to back it up. Bring it on SWO, bring all your fans,make sure to wear those rings to. You will be heading back to Onslow County at halftime. This game will be a blowout. WRH, make sure to come wearing those jackets and bearing those rings as well. When you leave Elizabeth City this time it will be a long 3.5 hr ride home. Clinton, I'm worried most about you guys, that is considering your healthy. I know your game against First Flight last year didn't represent where your program really is. I think next year you guys will win the East. 2018 is our year and NOBODY will stop us!!!!
I talked smack about NE in 2014 because to me, they had always been a soft team. It was that game let me know that that was no longer true, as they put a boot on our booties all over the field. We had a good 10-3 team with two 1,000 rushers in that 3rd round game, and neither one of them got over 50yds. And their offense parted our defensive line like Moses. We offered our best, and they made us look like children. It was tied 6-6 at one point, but the 47-6 final score let me know that the tide had shifted in EC. I do believe that it's hard for them to schedule nonconference games because of their location. I mean, the other school has to agree too, and I'm guessing that many don't. That's a lot of gas to play in a half full stadium because of no visiting fans. I'm pretty sure every home and home schedule has them being the ones to travel the first year. But they try. They just recently played DH Conley, an explosive 3A squad, and Hunt, in Wilson. That's a heck of a drive for them. But, they are beating good teams in non conference and the playoffs. They only lose to a select few, just like most really good teams, including SWO and us too. Not gonna leave us out. We can't get over the hump either.

QB Harris has over 2300 yards- over 1000 yards passing and almost 1200 yards rushing
Mercer has almost 1000 yards rushing
Freshwater has almost 800 yards rushing (missing three games)
Hodge has over 300 yards receiving and at least three other players have around 200 yards receiving
NHS has multiple weapons and these yards are with the starters not even playing most conference games in the second half. Say what you want but some other teams will be up the creek without a paddle of one player gets hurt...just saying.

Only two games that we didn’t score over 40 points so offense is fine.

Oh for sure, I just finally cracked when I saw a wrh guy post up we couldn't have beaten reidsville last year because of our defense. We will win this year and we will put to rest all this nonsense. Sorry, I did. Yes he is a very good addition. That being said he has over 180 yards rushing and over 100 yards receiving and when I said other players with almost 200 yards receiving he was included in that.
He says we can never win the big games. He wants us to win but he prefer to have the money
Our defense is much improved and like James stated we are more run oriented this year. We have a very dangerous player at the qb position in Aaron Harris. That kid has all kinds of moves. Just when you think you have him he's gone. He's also worked on his passing game a lot. I talked with coach about this same subject and he said they've really been working with him a lot during practice on his passing. I haven't checked any statistics, but I'd be hard pressed to say our offense has fallen off much. Other than the Currituck game we've been lighting the scoreboard up. That Currituck game we were minus a lot of starters, and the Knights aren't exactly scrubs.
I think he's really good on defense as well. I had watched his videos when he played for Nansemond River. I knew we were getting a good one
Well I don’t know who Dempsey is but I hope he loses every brown cent if he bets against us.
Beginning of the season he had to work on accuracy some but now a lot of the time when he throws the only way it’s not a completion is if the receivers drop it...his passes have been pretty much dead on lately. Our receivers have gotten much better catching too and are making some great catches. We definitely don’t have a one dimensional offense as others have tried to say. But if they want to think that please do lol.
