Northeastern/Southwest Edgecombe

Nor’easter?

Yes!!!!!
There is a Nor'easter coming and they don't even realize it. Myself and Chopper both will have people on the ground in Edgecombe County over the next 72hrs to make sure the sprinklers aren't on. Regardless our kids are going all out on a wet field and our new:cool:qb coach has our quarterbacks working on handoffs and passing drills with a saturated ball.

Currituck came up with that excuse years ago after we beat that lame team they had.

Sprinklers are for small timers. We get the Pinetops and Lewis Community VFD's to bring their tanker trucks and wet the field to protect it from the dry season.

Who needs a wet field to beat them?
Who needs a varsity team to beat them?

Lol, apparently you guys don't. You have a couple more days of getting your smack talk in, then it all gets real. All the talking up here's not going to help your kids on the field. I haven't even talked much trash, I've decided to tone it down a bit out of respect for a good swe team. I honestly don't know how much NE will win by, but I think it'll be a 10 pt game give or take.

OK, time to stir the pot!!!
Let's get this thing started

Northeastern 28
SWE 27

Our superstar kicker/punter
6'3 Caleb Brickhouse will carry us to victory in this very close game. He thrives in the big games and loves the spotlight.

Wasn't referring to NE.

Oh, my mistake lol. I apologize.
Yeah easy Goobs! Lol SWE fans are in the same boat as NE fans. Just trying to win the big for the first time. Both fan bases are well aware of how Hope's and wishes can be dashed pretty quick. Lol

Its cool. Im well aware that NE can beat us.
Believe me, all of us know that Swe can beat us. This is going to be a very good game. I can't speak for Swe but I can for NE. Our players and coaches are up for the challenge. We're not the team that shys away from good competition on the road.

Many time in playoff games are decided by kicking. WRH sure has won plenty games because of Cano, and Flores

SWE does lack in that department. Always has. There was a time when the philosophy was always going for 2. You make them, great. You only get half of them, then it's the same point total as making all XP kicks.
But we actually do kick XP now. Problem is, we always, and I mean always either miss one or mess up a snap and never get the kick off. Usually both, but definitely at least one. And field goals? Forget about it. We don't bother. Most of the time, our first fg attempt comes in crunch time in the playoffs. We tried for the first time last week, and it got about 8 feet off the ground. Never had a chance.
If we have a weakness, it's kicking for points.

Well we damn sure got a good one. This is his only year here but he hasn't disappointed. He's actually become a crowd favorite. 80% of his kickoffs are unreturnable. That's huge for us.

Caleb has only missed two all year. Dogs79 you witnessed one at Conley. It was a bad snap and the attempt was blocked. After that he came back and drilled a 42 harder in the wind.

A great kicker is a weapon in high school ball. It's his punting that concerns me the most. Making us sustain long drives.

That's what I'm talking about. Every kickoff is a touchback, so SW will have to drive 80 to score a touch. And when NE has the ball, a couple or 3 first downs and Brickhouse could pin us deep. Does he have any offers?

He's committed to Barton College. They offered him a full ride. He wants to play D1 and is hoping someone will offer. He's a good kid to, he doesn't curse and is very religious. If you follow his social media you will see he never posts negative pics or pics of half naked girls etc. Pay attention when he kickoffs Friday, he will point to Heaven. On the sidelines he's constantly practicing. Whether kicking into the net or working on his footwork. Watch his videos I posted, he's very impressive and is my favorite player. I think I have a video of one of his punts against Indian River. It went 70 yards in the air, I'll see if I can find it

That could actually work in yalls favor. I believe SWE has a major advantage over NE in the run game. It could be the difference in keeping NE offense off the field yet keep the clock moving. Long fields and long drives play into that and may not necessarily be a bad thing for SWE. So if you see those long punts...cheer! One, because you got NE to 4th down. Second, because a long field and killing clock will be a pretty good game plan to get the win for SWE.

Check out this hit!!! I forgot to mention that he loves contact. He's a big kid 6'3 225 and very strong. Rep ping 225 15 times!!

Here it is, this punt was a bomb against a #1 ranked Indian River team out of VA

Will be interesting to see how SWE offensive lineman handle NE’s front. They have 3 D1 guys on the D-line.

Sorry about all the posts of our kicker but I'm just trying to share a few videos. I love when other posters up here posts videos. Whether it's of their players making a great play or of game highlights. I'm a hsfb junkie and I will watch all of them. I just wish someone up here had a good connection with a college coach and could get this kid noticed. He's the real deal. He deserves a shot.

Get him in some D1 camps this offseason. He can come with us when we do the rounds staring in April.

That's gonna be the best battle on the field. SWE has a very good oline all those kids are upperclassmen and know the offense and assignments just as good as the coach. Those lineman are like 5 coaches on the field.
