Mallard Creek needs a week 5 opponent

If you are referencing my post (?), it read "They have had some players that lived in the district but were at a magnet or attending a private school that return to Mallard Creek, which was their home district assigned school." Note I use the word "some" and I was thinking of two or three in particular. Blue and Gold wrote, "Then there are the kids who already lived in the district who went to privates ans decide to go back to there home schools like Thomas Gordon and Moss.

Everyone who follows football in the area knows they had some kids move in because it was in the newspaper and all over the message boards.

When people move to a large urban area and have the ability to choose where they want to live they normally put a lot of emphasis on what schools will be best for their children's situation, whether it great arts programs, sciences, or athletics.

Female prep All American hoopster moves with her family to Charlotte due to job transfer from NY. They tell the realtor they want to be in the South Meck district or close to Providence Day. South Meck had two prep All Americans that season and was undefeated state champ.

Family from DC with son playing at DeMatha move to Charlotte and into Indy district during the streak.

Family from GA moves to Charlotte. They select Butler and their son's are studs for the Bulldogs. They did not select Butler for the neighborhoods as they could have lived in any in Charlotte and I doubt they selected it for the academics. One son plays in the Ivy League.

The reason I brought up those two kids was to just state the fact that MC has that kind of reach. To the point where families out of state want their children to be coached at a program like the one in north charlotte.

I get that some of you guys are tired of the transfer talk but it comes with the territory. Happened with butler and indy. In fact, allegations and transfer talk was a whole lot worse with knotts at indy, to the point where a $100,000 was launched due to peer pressure from the public basically lol.

Lassiter will for sure play a whole lot this season. He is a nice addition to the DL who was already deep.

Now the NY kid..ehhhh. He is going to have a rude awakening when he faces byrnes, butler, Dillon, etc. because the competition he faced in NY was straight up trash from what I saw on that tape. I don't even think he gets much play time in all honesty.

Regardless of transfers, and regardless of your non conference record, you guys should win your 4th state tittle. Although I think that team up in forsyth county reruns a whole bunch and will seek revenge.

I tire of it because fans act like this happens at one school in one city and then point to that as the reason you win. I can and have pointed to several teams that get just as much moving in and they win ZIP.

Again on Lassiter..its probably the deepest position on the team and probably the state. Gibson is a 4 star DT and maybe played 4-7 snaps a game last year.

As far as the 4th title you get zero predictions from me but I doubt it will be East Forsyth. They will never get another opportunity as good as that one. Outgained by 250 yards and up by 8 with 3 minutes left and the ball in their hands on their home field. That was their shot.

They exscaped with a narrow win the last time they played them now they are returning to punish them!!....again i say that is funny. I asked the Mighty Spartanburg Vikings coaches did Mallard Creek make any attempts to schedule the Vikings and the answer was NO!! They also said NO call was returned when the Vikings attempted to contact them!! Word on the street is Mallard Creek will ony schedule teams from S.C. who they feel they can beat. You would have to go back over 10 years when you guys were relevant. We were going to reach out to you guys last year during the 7 on 7 in Hoover but you guys got put out so early, we were playing in our 5th game of the day and Spartanburg was unloading their bus back at home.

1. Take your starting 22. Remove a third (7) and replace with players from the bench. Remove another 3rd (7) and replace with players from the bench. So 7-8 original starters and 14-15 from the bench.
or
2. We bring an equivalent of 3 Shelby teams to play you. We bring 3 Darquez Lee's (led the state in passing categories over all classes). 3 Dax Hollifields, already multiple D1 offers (including Clemson) as a Sophmore (had over 200 tackles this past season), we bring 3 Jayden Borders (led the state in receiving categories over all classes and already multiple D1 offers), we bring 3 Demonte Pooles (led the state in INTs over all classes), we bring a team that is coming off a 3-peat and triple it.

Who is gonna win that game?

Spartanburg won the SC 4A DII in 2014. There previous 4A DI (what was then the Big 16 I think) would have been 2001. Sparty has had some great teams and players but they went through a down spell for awhile. They got the former Byrnes DC and HC, Chris Miller, who has did a very solid job.
