Lincolnton vs Reidsville Regional Finals

I assure you the Lincolnton team will not be disregarding or disrespecting any thing about the Reidsville team this Friday night. Some fans may hope that happens but it won't.

On the other hand, however, as the Reidsville folks should know from the recent past Lincolnton will not come to town and be intimidated by Reidsville's record or their past state championship banners.

Agreed.
Agreed.

since you guys love our banners so much you should hit up rockingham county hs, I think they still have some "take the capital" shirts if you're interested lol

All I know is we are not over looking Reidsville or disrespecting them in anyway shape or form. They are going to be a tough challenge, but at the end of the day, Lincolnton is back to the 4th round after having been on the brink of being at state ...

When you go out to the field and you see them pounding away and grinding away, you can feel it in your bones that they will not be denied. Soaked through their shoes and socks, still cracking, and then after practice you still see the leaders out there running and grinding. Leadership and heart ... I haven't seen it on this level in a long time, and that's going to be tough to stop.

I'm excited it's already made 14 pages, this banter has really made me smile. I'm glad that our schools both have so much support. It shows the sense of pride and community behind these boys.

Is it Friday yet?!?!

Y'all may want to join in on the Shelby, Monroe thread it's more exciting over there.

When did it pick up? I'm shocked. You guys have been wanting to play one another for a couple of years.

To borrow a quote from my old friend CAVALIERDAVE from years ago.......I just hope Reidsville can score.....................
rambbq,
is Dave still around? I met him 1 time when South went to Burlington for a playoff game. 1 of the nicest guys I have ever met!!!

So...I heard something bleating out behind my house today. (It was a mixture of a cows moo, and a baby crying. ) Every now and again, the beast would just beat it's horns against a tree.. Over and over...it bleated and bleated, rammed a little then bleated some more. I got close enough to walk up to the critter. I leaned up to his ear and whispered "wolf". Poor thing fell over and soiled itself. I was afraid the thing might expire if it didn't settle down, so I promised to take its photo and hang on a big banner in my yard. That seemed to make him feel better, as he seemed to stop shivering, and felt warmer at tha mention of a banner...At least good enough to stagger away ...

I don't really know what this is, but I'm hoping someone can help? It's a little bigger than a goat, but seems harmless enough. Should I be worried?

He was a huge part of football in that town! And I remember 98 very well. The Rams came to Tabor City and put a whopping on the Stallions. Y'all threw the ball all over the place! Hopefully we'll get that rematch next week but both teams have a full plate this Friday. Good luck to Rams as well!!!

The Shelby fans not on this post are pretty testy. I told them one of us will have to change our mascot to a Crow after Friday, because we've laid it all on the line. Asked why so quiet and they didn't like it. Oh well lol

@A-dub. I had a similar experience.

Funny little fellow, fairly consistent with your description, and responded the same to the mention of "wolves."

I had the same experience, I heard something rummaging through my trash and when I looked out back this is what I found

If that's your opinion it would be the wolves fans are underestimating the power a Your line play
It could be my opinion that you're overlooking our line play that we averaged 270 across the offenseive line and they're pretty good athletes

Please understand the wolves football team will be focused and Underestimating in any part of The opponent strengths and weaknesses
I hope you realize that at 270 lbs the Lincolnton offensive line will be considerably smaller than the Rams front four?

Of course, there's something to be said for a small but quick offensive line.;)

I am proud of all you guys on both sides.

Been gone only about 23 hours and you have accomplished SO much:

2 more pages.
Morris Day and the Time reference(Say Whaaaat?)
Surname corrections.
Analysis of both teams' offense and defense.
Ragging on Shelby (including one fan's stubborn claim to State Titles recognized by only Phoenix Online University)
Covering point spreads. (Really?)
And my favorite thus far, being the redneck I am, a hunter posing with a ram.(fainting goats do not count)

Thank you kind sirs for making my night.

Well at least this thread haven't been locked out. So if you think about it we're doing pretty good at keeping the trash talk under control. Nothing wrong with a little friendly trash talk.

No you guys have been mostly respectful to each other while at the same time honking your own school's horns. That's why I keep reading it.
Can only take so much of one of those "Your team sucks and ours does not" threads.

Need to get serious for a few posts...

Does Short Sugars for real no joke ain't pretending have good BBQ? Would love to hear from someone who has exited the confines of Rockingham County in the last 8 years....

The BBQ is really good also a place calledTurks sports bar is really good a little expensive but good

i'm a short sugars regular. great bbq, sauce is great. use liberally. love the teenage burger (doublecheese). good fries. get bbq sandwich chopped with or without slaw. sit at counter if there is enough room. about a mile from high school on s scales street. you won't regret it.

Thanks bro....this is bitter sweet for the wife and I ...he's the youngest of our three with all having played for the Wolves...either way this goes I've always been there for my boys ...pushed them like no other and I tend to think we have done a rather good job...you right though ..as athletes fathers we can be a little over the top..but with all great intentions... GOOD LUCK AND GOD SPEED TO ALL THE DADS, MOMS, AND PLAYERS IN THE FUTURE!!!
