Lincolnton vs Reidsville Regional Finals

Been impressed with number 11 accuracy all year completing nearly 65 to 70%of his passes . The connection he's made with 82 and 14 this year has been phenomenal. The balls have been dropping right in their hands

#11 has had a phenomenal year. I have been impressed with his consistency and ability to manage a fairly complex offense. Hard to believe he is closing in on 4K passing yards.

OK back from basketball.

For a page was scared this was turning into yet another Shelby would beat all ya'll by 30 thread. But did pick up to a more credible level of animosity in the last few posts.

C'mon guys ignore your brethren to the southwest. They won't be playing either of you this year so who cares?

Stay on point. Need some entertainment. Basketball threads are dead.

Here I will help. Lincolnton has 2 very good WRs who have good hands and run well with ball after catch. And a bowling ball of a RB.

Reidsville I only know about one player that is referred to as "Boogie". Good hands as receiver, tough to bring down as RB. Also apparently doing nice things as LB and special teams man. (Would have fit nicely in with former HS team's passing game this year and may have made a 2nd round game more interesting at Lincolnton).

There that passive aggressive enough?

Weeeeaaak, bro. Weak. Don't bring that sloppy mess to this dumpster fire-of-a-post.

What we need from you (and our SHS comrades) is more emphasis on "the drought," "the schedule," and the egregious amount of overconfidence perpetuating through Reidsville.

Well, I'll be one of the first to say that I hope we're a little better prepared for this game than we were last game (from a coaching standpoint). I could be mistaken but I got the feeling that our inability to get the play called in a timely manner poured over into the energy of the team. I don't know if we were failing to properly relay the play onto the field due to breakdowns in communication [devices] or if we were just indecisive in choosing the right call as it related to the overarching strategy of our game plan. But you could tell that our guys were flat the first half and some less than desired decisions costed our team some time outs at inopportuned times. Again, I'm not sure what the root cause was for the issues, but it was tough to watch and I hope we've corrected the problems in preparation for Friday evening.

Didn't he go by "Short Sugar"???

I don't exactly recall hearing him called by that name, but he was as good a LB as I've ever seen wear the Black and Gold. You better believe our opponents knew who he was, too. I know he'll shun the praise, but he played with heart and fervor. You could understand how much he loved the game just by watching him play.

Sorry been in a gym with piped in air.

Weak? I got "passive aggressive" in a football post?
Well... really not my fight but if you want:

Reidsville last SC in 2009. Final championship in three peat with a record of 48-0. That gave them 5 SC in 8 years.

Lincolnton last SC 2007. First one since 1993.

Reidsville in drought? Guess so if you are used to being in a rain forest.

Schedule cannot bring myself to bring up. You play who is on it.

Egregious? Got to look that up and will get back to you.
And dumpster fire? Haven't you guys had enough smoke last few weeks?

Is that better?

After all them hits (little john) takes friday only thing he going to be looking for is the port-a-john.

And I hope you're around to take your medicine like a big boy come Friday night/Saturday morning in the event that you've been proven wrong.

Ok y'all let a 1-10 team let me think......North Gaston score 34 points on ya and let's see Bandys a 3-8 team score 28 points on ya. No worries here

...and the proper spelling for the surname of the young man is 'Littlejohn'. Not to be confused with a moniker like little john. In fact, there's more than one young man on our team with the same surname and they're all part of a rich tradition brought about by the likes of their fathers, uncles, cousins, and brothers. I'm not sure if they take offense to the misspelling of their names, but having known more than a few of them I would rather err on the side of caution.

When I was young and learning life's lessons the hard way, my father used to say to me...

"What's the matter, son? You don't believe poop stinks?"

When you tease a wolf, don't be surprised when you get bit. I could offer another idiom, but hopefully you get the point.

Believe me you need to be concerning the wolves are coming to town
The wolves will be ready

And we won both of those games by about 4 TDs. I'll take a 4 touchdown win any day.

Where was the defense though. Just hard to think a 13-1 team allowing that many points. But anyway gonna let them wolves stop growling for a while. 5am coming mighty early. But like I said in a previous message I hope for a good exciting game and would love to see it come down to the final play

72 points, almost 800 yards on a shaky play calling night. I heard the wireless comms were coming and going all night. All things considered, overcame pretty well!

I'd say 'overcame' is an accurate assessment, but it wasn't pretty and it certainly didn't sit too well with all the arm-chair QBs in the crowd. No comms or whatever, it was a little unnerving at times.

He'd be well past 4k by now if he'd connected on the 30+ over throws to #82 on the go route early on.....missed way to many in regular season...but now it's almost unstoppable

Community S
I won't fake the funk #73 and #77 worry the crap out of me....especially #77.....whew...straight beast on that D line
yes both are monsters and are fast. Our defensive end #4 hasn't been stopped all year. Too fast for any offensive lineman to stop. I can sit here and tell you but you have to see them in action for yourself.

Not a member of Carolina Preps, but I do peep in occasionally. You go over there, and by reading The Mule and FBCofNC's comments, you'd think Reidsville was the 2016 Steel Curtain. Then, I go and look at North Rowan's 5'6" 156lb running back highlights vs the Rams, the young man ran through and around them, and absolutely smoked them on a long td run. North Rowan doesn't have a great passing game, just imagine if they did. 51 seconds of J. Webster's highlights vs The Rams below.

Let's pull the Huss highlights and check out shelbys vaulted defense

Lol... you're right! The day after that game, FBC was in our thread asking did Dax play at 100%, as if we were going to used that as an excuse, then I read in this thread his slick little comments, but it's all Steel Curtain talk when referencing you all's D. Shelby posters hung around in y'alls thread for too long, so that was bound to happen, glad it got back on topic. I've enjoyed this thread, since Shelby and Monroe's two or three posters are showing each too much respect, not even discussing the game.

Kidd - yes! There's the heat. Apparently you, too, have no doubt been influenced by Reidsville's schedule, having demonstrated no zeal, fervor, or strength in that post.

LOL. Actually, only one Littlejohn is little. The QB (6-4, 185) is big enough to take a few hits and the LB (6-1, 215) will be delivering the hits on defense as well as some on offense as a back up RB. The other guy is very little but also very quick, and pretty smart...will probably run out of bounds before you can hit him. The announcers will probably get confused keeping up with all the Littlejohns and your defense might as well.

North Rowan was averaging well over 300 plus yards a game and so did Mt Heritage. Neither came even close to their averages. Not even close! I asked about 44 in general because of the talk about his shoulder.

The smallest of the Littlejohn's put a top-5-biggest-hit-of-the-year on the EL QB this year. That was huge.

And dude he can scoot. Wow...
