JK vs. East Duplin

But didnt they beat SWO?
Yes ED Won Sw had a lot of turnover came back tie the game in the final minutes. Coach didn't kick the field goal went for the win.could have won in overtime SW had momentum.ED won but sw played there worst game the this season against ED. Far as the lost to jacksonville, the Cardinals were the better team.

Talked to a couple panther fans the last couple weeks, and were not confident in this year's team. I thought they were trying to fly under radar, guess not. Could be why we're not hearing from faithful this year

James Kenan dominated Weak Duplin tonight. Even when the refs tried screwing us in 2nd half we took momentum right back and kept jamming it down their throats. Ran and passed at will and our defense brought the lunch pail. Don’t overlook us anymore JK took a step back in the right direction tonight. Nobody can say we “maybe” have the best QB in conference in anymore. He is best in conference and Quan Henry #3 is starting to come into form as well. Tigers making opportunities for themselves and getting hot at right time. Watch out ECC

JK 44 ED 24

GO TIGERS!

Told You! 44-24 and the game wasn't that close! Championship game will be final week of the season between JK and Clinton after Clinton manhandles the Puppies tomorrow night! And SWO don't want to hear nuthin else this ED team beat you???

And guess what JK had some injuries that 1st game and players out at start of season but didn't hear a word out of me about that yet WRH making that excuse left and right No excuses next 2 weeks Puppies it ain't going to be pretty! And we didn't even have our kicker tonight he was playing soccer

And we had over 200 yds in penalties probably the refs couldn't even drive the little wannabes in the east into the end zone

ED had to abandon Wing T. JK defense swarmed and we are getting better at it every day? And this ED team beat the mighty SWO on Padgett night?

Penalties in first half were pretty even, I don't think ED was ready for what y'all brought tonight. We'll see what JK got next two weeks. Great win for y'all. I do want to thank JK for making ED side kind of quiet. They were stunned

Wish I could go see Clinton mud stomp you guys but going to be put of town this weekend. Get ready for 2 straight losses!

What's the overall series record and has ED even won a state championship? Ever? Exactly this is retribution for listening to a team that is beneath us losing the overall series by a wide margin and a team that has never even won a state championship constantly talk about how great they are we saw how great you weren't tonight! Everything is back to normal again on Duplin County! You have the As- JK and WRH the Bs - N Duplin and the the Fs - ED who can't even come within 4 tds of beating a team they said they would dominate or much less, actually win something meaningful like a state title

Worst loss for for ED since 2015. What a long sad ride down 24 to redneck land lol. JK more talent, also more men. ED probably still hurting this morning because the Tiger D put some heads to bed .... they don’t want the smoke

Congrats to JK. I was shocked when I saw the score being 19-0. Either JK has improved 5000% or ED is not very good. My dogs should look forward to Saturday night and Clinton but next week will be a lot of fun. Both JK and Wrh has improved so much since the 1st game.

I can tell you we have improved drastically. O-line really made me proud with the way they handled ED’s front. Establishing Henry in the run game is making a world of difference for our offense. Our defense is attacking and making plays and very opportunistic. Defense had some really key stops last night to keep crushing ED’s hopes. It was easily the most complete game we have played all season and I’m glad the guys can see what happens when they go out there and play their game and play together. 24 hour rule on this one we can enjoy it a little bit longer. Friday night in Wallace is gonna be a good one, these Tigers are playing angry and I like it.

ED is a quality team we just simply took their ass to the woodshed.

Failed adjustments
No Sir!! The adjustments made, led to more points in the second half than in the first. Go ahead beat your chest and get it all out of your system since your program has been sorry for the last few years! You act just like dctiger like y'all beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl last night or something. So hilarious. Y'all played the best game y'all have played this year and ED played their worst by far.

JK made ED play there worst! ED is slow just like I said and it showed. I never doubted this game! Saw ED in preseason and knew. And you are welcome for the personal foul penalties that led to 2 of your scores without them well you know!

may disappear but we will take our 4 straight championships with us. You can talk when you win 2 in a row.

It is really pretty simple. As I have said many times on this board, ED struggles on defense when you spread them out. They do not play pass defense particularly well which is compounded when they are unable to generate much pass rush. I saw them play last year 5-6 times and they were far more athletic then. This years defense in the games I have seen is simply not as good. Good scheme yes, but very low margin for error. Southwest Onslow got back into the game when they decided to open up the offense, Goldsboro and Midway both had success throwing it on them. James Kenan is a pass first offense with a dangerous QB. Recipe for trouble IMO.

It also doesn't help when you turn the ball over 3 or 4 times and two of those are returned for touchdowns. Credit JK's defense as I thought they were outstanding for the most part. I do not think JK had any turnovers.

James Kenan played outstanding and deserve all the credit. They will be tough for anyone from here on out. I saw them play in the opener with WRH and came away impressed. I was even more impressed last night.

One thing I would be concerned about from a JK perspective is the amount of showboating and dead ball fouls committed last night. Game very much in hand yet JK had four or five personal foul penalties called in one quarter. Those kind of mistakes will kill you in a close game.

Also, I was very disappointed in the turnout with it being a JK home game. I thought for sure there would be more people on that side. That seems to be the norm in the games I have gone to there in the last 2-3 years. Looked to me ED had at least twice as many on hand.

Yep, I was incorrect in my projection early in the season. Very interested to see the WRH-Clinton game Saturday.

The only thing hilarious was watching yalls fans exit the game early. Also was pretty hilarious watching our linebacker take y’all Senior running back to the woodshed all night. Knocked him around like a little boy out there. I did get a good laugh out of that. When y’all had to completely abandon a offense your head coaches dad help write the book on, run a fake punt on first drive, pull your QB, etc. that was pretty damn funny as well. The best was watching that magnificent running back y’all have stumble in the open field LOL. ED played their worse because we are the best team they have seen since Jacksonville.

I think Thursday night affected the attendance. The personal foul calls were bogus and that’s all I will say about that.

First Thursday night game I can recall going to there so I don't know. As I said, crowds were sparse at the other games with the exception of a Wallace game.

No dog in the fight and not getting in a pissing match about it, but how can an officiating crew call four or five "bogus" personal foul calls on the same team? If memory serves me correctly, ED also had a couple, one being a hit out of bounds. Were those bogus also?

Like it or not, JK has a reputation among coaching circles for being undisciplined in the past and it was evident last night as well. Not saying it is due to poor coaching, but it is sometimes very obvious. No need for the showboating that went on all night from my view but maybe I am just old school.

Again, JK played very well and deserved to win.

It can be viewed as showboating it also can be seen as playing with emotion. I didn’t see anything unnecessary or excessive last night IMO. When you are playing good football and having your way with the opponent let them know about it. Get in the other teams head. It is mental just as much physical. Have good sportsmanship but don’t be afraid to celebrate or say something after you make a play. It’s a fun game to play and when you see kids “showboating” they are having fun out there. As far as officiating just call a fair game that’s all I ask.

I was sitting on ED side, and I heard a little grieping early, but nothing later. What can you say when you have no answers.

Fair enough, we can agree to disagree. Nothing wrong with playing with emotion. It has been my experience that the more successful teams not only play with emotion but channel it in a certain way. Hand clapping in front of your opponents face, taunting fans and the opposing coaching staff are not those ways. I too was "by the fence" on the ED side and saw all of it. Never coached against JK in my career but have many friends who have and like it or not, the program does have a reputation for examples given above. Don't buy the argument that the personal foul and unsportsmanlike calls were "bogus".

JK outplayed ED and deserved to win the game. As I stated above, if they play to that level they will be tough to beat.

Well Wallace just has to look toward playing Clinton nobody else ,as for that beat down last night ED recieved wow wasn't expecting that. Which Wrh offense is starting to get real scary they are starting to click like clockwork ,and the defense last week held the rb to under 100 yards, two picks ,a fumble recovery and 3 sacks on the qb,loos ks likthey are starting to figure it out coaching will be key for Wrh from here on out and defensive play ,the offense is pretty good.. like I said defense playing good but still need to turn the curve as far as response time and notice of offensive lineups as far as Reading plays according to the offensive formations..
