Heard lots of kids have been leaving Pinnacle lately because of the "boards" decisions. Kinda sounds like it could be imploding over there.

It could be a great option for nontraditional schooling if it was done right.
First of all, chopper is not stupid. Secondly, who is pinnacle? Thirdly, why do we care about whoever pinnacle is? And lastly, the Rams are scared and the Lions are glad of it! Good thread if you care about hypotheticals. I guess soft, now, is the new OG (original gangster). All comers are welcome in Belmont to meet the FG (final gangster)!

They're using last years ADMs. They also have Oak Grove going small and OG is the biggest school in Davidson County now with 983 students. No way they are 2A.
HSOT means well but they have been informed of this and haven't changed it over the past couple of weeks. It's fun to look at their projections but they are nowhere close to accurate.
If that happens Cleveland County could well have 3 championships this year

Weddington will take the big 3AA I'm guessing.
3A will be tough with Huss, KM, Crest and Catholic. I expect the 4th round to have two beat up teams.

Crest is still to inconsistent. They work very hard at choking in the playoffs in recent times. Plus you can't 100% dive and pitch your way to a title(especially multiple titles) in the bigger classes. Barely works in 2A these days.
To answer the question in the title of this thread: MAYBE.....a lot more likely than I thought four hours ago....but West Craven & Anson taking HUGE drops could keep Shelby in 2AA....expecting them to be right at the cut line
Will be interesting, I agree with you throw in Newton with 816 and West Lincoln having the same number as Shelby, it's a toss up.
Ok, after further review, I still think Shelby will be in 2AA.....right now I'm guessing the cut line will be between Newton-Conover and SW Edgecombe.....but there are SOOOO many teams that could still go either way, will know more after this week's updated rankings get posted, and of course still won't know until the final rankings come out with the seedings, my biggest problem is not knowing what to do about tiebreakers for final conference standings for 3 way ties in 2nd in Mid State between Bartlett Yancey, Carrboro, and Cummings (one auto bid, others would be wild cards, but not Cummings, ranking too low to be wild card)....3rd in Western Piedmont (would all be wild cards) between Walkertown, Forbush, and North Forsyth, and the mess in the Central Carolina with about 9 different scenarios for who could get 2nd and 3rd, and the others will be wild cards (I think)....also possible that every 2AA team in that league (including Salisbury) could be in East

West Lincoln I guess you're referring to....Yes they should make the playoffs...I'd say about a 95% chance....will be a wild card, and almost certainly on the road but they should have no trouble making playoffs due to high ranking, along with everyone ahead of them in conference having a high ranking, the only bubble team in that league is Bandys, this week at #62, with a very tough opponent this week in North Lincoln....the bottom two have almost no shot to get in, Bandys on bubble, 1-5 look like locks to make playoffs
gotta love the fact that there are 18 schools in NC that go by West whatever....lol..would help if whole school is named........................
I hope burns gets west lincoln ....these schools are only 10 minutes apart and we have tried to get a home and home with them many times but they have declined .
Wouldn't be til the 3rd round... Shelby will most definitely be there... As it looks right now, Burns would have to win a rematch with Newton Conover (and let's be honest, it's hard to beat a team twice for some reason), and then either beat SP again or travel to Ashe and win...
