Im.not sure about the 8-32. But he's not considering, reidsville, Cummings and high point Andrew's eastern teams.
Thanks!!!! I just hate to see people downplay someone's accomplishments. I am a WRH fan, but I am saying that the bulldogs have quite a bit of growing to do to get where they want to be.
Triad teams that represented the east, I counted them as West. Geographically they are WEST of center. I did not follow the NCHSAA categorization of east west because that fluctuates year to year. True geographic locations do not change.

You are so right Chopper, true geographic locations do not change! But did you do realize that all of those areas you just mentioned (except high point) are technically east of the geographical center of the state? "Star, NC. is known as the geographic center of North Carolina as measured via satellite", according to the Army Corps of Engineers. So are you going to use actual facts? Or just blindly label teams east or west so that they make your argument look better?

This "disagreement" is prime evidence that anyone can manufacture points that support their argument. Some people just stretch that a little further than others to make themselves seem right in their own mind....
Even if I conceded to agree and go against geography and even threw in High Point, the record would be at 14-26 lol. Still heavy losses after donating western schools. I don't know what kind of new math some of you are trying to crowbar into this disagreement. It's pretty obviously lopsided no matter how you look at it.

Why don't both sides of this argument throw out the Reidsville, TW Andrews and Burlington Cummings championships from your totals and see what the results are?
The "go either way depending on year" schools have skewed the results to each side if you claim them, so do away with them and perhaps you can continue this argument with a more true west vs east comparison.

As if going to a high school makes you more knowledgeable about football... I love it when people from State title schools act like that makes them more knowledgeable than other people.

i dont have any inside info, but word used to be that when Independence was a powerhouse it was because they got many of their best players from surrpunding school districts. i heard that was halted, and thats when they started losing a lot more games. of course whether thats true or not i have no idea.
Independence didn't start sliding until Rocky River was built, and especially after Tom Knotts left lol. Those were just excuses made by jealous fans and schools. Now, did a few kids slip under the radar? Maybe, but nothing ever got proven. And it definitely wasn't a whole bunch, if any at all.
