Burns won the title last year as a team full of sophomores. They made it back this year as all juniors. They will have a chance to get back. East Rutherford won't lose a lot either. I wouldn't be shocked to see them meet in the western finals again.

How much is Burns losing and do they have players to replace what’s leaving?

Losing 3 seniors. All 3 hit towards the bottom of the lineup. One was a crafty left handed pitcher. JV went undefeated.

Any jv players filling those roles or some kids that were on varsity last stepping in?

These days, you never know about transferring. I'll assume there isn't any coming and say that there will be some JV guys filling those roles nicely.

Think their ADM is actually higher than ER now…

1A Uwharrie Charter has 812, while somewhat local 3A Ledford has 838, to put things into perspective. I would say Uwharrie is def moving up compared to other 1A enrollments.

How has their most recent 1a state title not been voided? I mean I’m sure they met the requirements when they re aligned but with that much growth they should void it
