Got a dog fight in this one. Top of the 9th. West Wilkes 1 West Stanly 1
What a game. West Wilkes wins 2-1 over West Stanly in 9 innings. They will advance to the 4th rd
20-2 Owen is schedule to play 17-6 SW Randolph on 5/14. The winner plays 21-0 West Wilkes. If it comes down to West Wilkes n Owen that game could be epic.
Two key games to keep an eye on tomorrow 5-14 will be 24-1 Mooresville vs 21-4 Alexander Central and 25-2 NW Guilford vs 22-4 Reagan. Both games look to be really good matchups.
Last time West Stanly was knocked out of the playoffs was 2018…believe it or not…it was Bunker Hill that beat them. What a great run for West Stanly…..4 consecutive state championships.

@Vik-Val 86 If you think the Owen-W Wilkes game would be epic, then Owen-SW Randolph game should be a good one. SW Randolph beat W Stanley 3-0 in 11 innings this yr. They have great pitching and defense.
Wow. That would be a good one to see. All these teams left will be tough to play against.
That Owen squad is also very young. I believe they only have 4 upper classmen according to some guys I work with from Swananoa.
Mooresville n Alexander Central game is still on for today. The way it’s raining in the Mooresville area, it’s going to be tough if it keeps raining. Mooresville does have infield turf but outfield is grass.

Going into the bottom of the 5th. Alexander Central up 3-1. Mooresville really needs to crank the bats up.
Alexander Central pulls out the upset defeating Mooresville 4-1 and will advance to the 4th rd. Mooresville had a remarkable run this season finishing 24-2. Nothing to hang their heads about. A great season for the Blue Devils of Mooresville.

#10 Alexander Central will travel to play #3 Weddington in the next rd.
Southwestern Randolph defeated Owen 3-0. And will play West Wilkes next. That should be a good game.
1st time for our girls going to 4th round.

Kings Mountain will take on East Rowan tomorrow. That should be a dynamite game.

Hey Maiden Creek, what time does the Maiden game start today. I still haven’t decide what I’m going to do. But just incase I might decide to go watch Big Blue Devils play.
Kings Mountain won 1-0 over East Rowan. Kings Mountain scored in the 7th inning for the win. Congratulations to KM. Also great season for East Rowan.

Southwestern Randolph with a big win over West Wilkes 1-0. What a great season for West Wilkes. They went 21-1. I was hoping they would win it all.
Robbinsville over 1 seed Uwharrie Charter 4-3! Best of 3 with E Wilkes next week!

What a fun ride watching Maiden play through this season. Hold your heads high for achieving a first for our softball program by making it the 4th round. I’m very proud of what this team accomplished. Let’s do it again next year. 😉
