CHAPEL HILL – The North Carolina High School Athletic Association has assigned classifications to the schedule of the Regional and State Basketball Championships at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum (LJVM) in Winston Salem.

The 1A Regional Championships will be played on Monday, March 11, with the 3A Regional Championships on Tuesday, March 12. The 1A and 3A State Championship Games will be played on Friday, March 15.

The 2A Regional Championships will be played on Wednesday, March 13, and the 4A Regional Championships are set from Thursday, March 14. The 2A and 4A State Championship Games will be played on Saturday, March 16.

There will be four Regional Final games per day at LJVM, with the first game beginning at 2 p.m. The following games will begin 20 minutes following the conclusion of the previous game. The State Championship games on Friday will be played at 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Championship games on Saturday will be played at 12 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The order of the games on each day will be determined later this week to best accommodate the teams involved in the Regional Finals.

As a reminder for Third and Fourth Round contests this week, the NFHS Network owns the broadcast rights for every NCHSAA Playoff Game. If a contest is not on the NFHS Network, it may be broadcast by a third party after approval from the NCHSAA and the applicable fees have been paid. The Broadcast Request Form is available here.

Deana ,

Can you please tell me what schools are left in the boys 3A basketball east regional? Can you tell me where will the remaining games be played in Fayetteville or Greenville? I have been unable to find the info online. I am hoping for a Westover vs 71st final for the east title. Thanks.

#2 Westover vs #3 N Durham
Played at higher seed

So now the question is, when will we get the actual schedule? I assume it will have to be Saturday (3/9), so everyone will know what time their team plays and can make travel arrangements. I'm curious to see how they plan this out.

All regionals are playing in Winston-Salem and so is state championships.
