Heritage @ Mitchell

You are. You must be on the sauce cause ain’t no way a grown man acts like u over a football game.
Need to quit being such a Biden man seriously no way someone saying come say it to my face causes you to say they on the sauce. Come on it’s a football game we should be able to say it in person if we gonna say it. I wasn’t gonna hurt you.

Was this much of a thrilling chilling Friday game being that Mitchell is the best 1A and Heritage the best 2A?

👍🏼😉. All said and done both sides enjoyed the build up, the trash talking, and seeing the kids play. Your team just flat out played us last night. Proud of all the boys it was a clean game. All this on here is just in good fun. Maybe we can talk it all up during girls basketball next season. Good luck here on out.

Heritage ran more plays, and got more yards than Mitchell last night. Giving up a short field to the Mountaineers on every possession was a back breaker. Heritage isn't a bad team, their line, defense, and run game looked good. Mitchell is just playing above their own level this season. These boys are hungry. Hungry for another conference championship, hungry for a state championship. The coaches have been preaching "redemption tour" since the East Surry game last year, and these boys have taken it to heart.

In 6 seasons pitman is 73-16 at a school with many times inferior talent. Certainly the smallest school in our conference. With the least amount of resources. Dude can flat out coach and administration at Mitchell county schools should recognize it pay the man. Get us a auxiliary gym and new weight room. Get wrestling a place to practice and turf the field. Football has made our school system a ton of money in the past 6 years. Spend some of it to reward the kids and the hard work put in by this staff.

Last night was the best We have played all year. The defense was pretty stout and offense ended up leaving a few points on the field but over all had a great game. But to be the man you gotta beat the man LoL
Sounds good. More competition the better. Shame Polk's leaving the conference next year...

At .820 win %, he has the best record in WNC, and one of, if not the best in the state. 5 strait 10+ win seasons, and on track for 6. The man has accomplished what every aspiring coach dreams of. He took a mediocre program, and has turned it into a yearly contender, in very very short order. Now all he lacks is an undefeated season, and a state championship. And all that will come in due time on the current trajectory. So far, this team has been his greatest accomplishment, after losing 17 seniors, his entire offense, and both lines. Credit to him, but also to his entire staff, the players for buying into his system, and the parents for trusting his judgement as a coach.

Amen, now time for that celebratory Western Sizzlin!
