Well folks another season is upon us! (Man I'm getting old) If last years game is any indication this should be a dandy. I hope to do game and score updates tonight. Go Panthers!

Panthers take the opening kickoff and grind out a nice 6 minute drive to score 7-0 Franklin 1Q.

The Cougars answer and use the swinging gate for a 2pt conv. 8-7 Asheville 1Q.

Franklin scores again 13-8 Panthers 2Q.

Halftime 13-8 Franklin.

Franklin with a classic long long drive cap it off with a TD 20-8 Panthers late 3Q.

Panthers have taken control of this one with another drive for a TD. Franklin 27-8 4Q.

Franklin is wearing Asheville down as they hold them to 4&out and then score again! 33-8 Panthers late 4Q.

Final: Franklin 33 @ Asheville 8, impressive win for the Panthers.

First take from the game: Asheville missed some chances early, but I don't think it would have done anything but made the game closer. Franklin wore them down in the end. Nice balance of run/pass by the Panthers. Most impressive is this result without kloeppel.
