[Tarheel Warrior]

It is with great sadness to have to share with all of you long time posters and friends of mine that egfan passed away this past Saturday after a 10-month battle with cancer. Him and I, along with my dad and brother have sat together EVERY Friday night (home and away) in the fall at Warrior games for the past 20 years. We met back in 2005-2006 through this very site as two loyal Warriors (as you all know, being a true East Gaston fan requires LOTS of loyalty) became game night buddies at that point and the rest was history. Friday nights will not be the same. Please keep his family in your prayers.

Wow. So sad to hear this. He made everyone on the boards a fan of East Gaston. Anytime they won or had a good season, every poster would be so happy for him and congratulate him. He stayed with EG through thick and thin. Prayers to his family and friends.

When I stumbled on this board in 2011-12 as a sophomore/junior at Catholic I remember him being one of the first posters I noticed. Never met him, but prayers for him, his family and all who loved him.
