On a sad note. As this season starts to wind down here in about 2 months this group of people who have become friends and enemies are most likely going to get disbanded 😢. With the new realignment odds are a lot of us are going our separate ways now 😔.
Very good point. But I also think the that the majority of this conference will stay intact. The admin numbers seem to be relatively close. Anyone have the exact admin numbers? Either way, It's going to be interesting for sure.
I feel like we will lose Lincolnton and West Lincoln their numbers are way lower. I think they're going off the ADMs they use for playoffs
I’m worried you’re gonna be right about that. I think we’re gonna end up with Shelby, East Gaston and who knows what else.
Will they want to schedule each other as non conference matchups???

Maiden and Lincolnton have a long standing relationship. I would guarantee that if we're not in the same conference, we'll surely schedule our brothers from another mother in non-conference play.

Money talks ... They cant build enough new stuff and spend money quickly enough. We fund their projects, they select our kids in the lottery, lol. I'd guess their adm numbers will be closer to Maiden, than us.. (Y'all are all in their recruiting zone. Wait til Bias gets his new Athletic complex ...)
If our school board would draw the lines to balance the numbers, we would be what our fans expect us to be...too easy.

@Lincolnton some people consider u an intelligent man 😂. I got a question for ya on NIL. This Judge ruled last week the QB at a public school could cash in on NIL. Now I'm biased against NIL, but I feel like this judge overstepped his position. I'm my opinion the judiciary branch is suppose to interpret laws and apply them. While also making decisions on the plaintiffs interpretation of laws. To me this judge overstepped by creating a law. He should of dismissed while stating the plaintiffs case may have merit, but it's legislature job to create a framework and law to then be interpreted by him (judiciary branch).

WNNC will be out and Maiden vs Bandys. They like to cover two Catawba County teams playing each other to cover. Especially rivalry games. Dave doesn't wanna spend a lot on gas money 😂
Looks like we won’t be able to play West Caldwell on Friday, since they played last night, because of the 3 full days rule….and I guess same goes for Maiden/Bandys.
Luckily we caught our games up after last night so extra bye week before the playoffs start 🎉
Maiden has been a scrimmage opponent. It was in the 90s when Lincolnton was in the Big 6. Back then the Wolves nonconference was South Point, Kings Mountain, Shelby, and West Lincoln.
Does the new rules say you can pick up an extra game this year? Someone mentioned that to me but wasn't sure.
It does not. The reading can get muddied because it gives both a "day" restraint and a "time" restraint. But the rule is dictated by clearly stating the calendar day restraint first and the hourly restraint in parentheses, therefore 3 days between contest.
It does say you can schedule an extra game. But, it must be your 11th game and your opponents 11th game, must be approved by the association, and I believe it said it can't be entered into MaxPreps...as in, it doesn't count. Weird they would allow it...but maybe giving teams the chance to play if they don't want the bye week?

I could be mathing wrong but if East Burke doesn't play this weekend that's 3 games and would be impossible to make up by the new rules ???
That extra week could give them 2 games. The 3rd game could be done on a Tuesday and move the Fri game to Saturday
Has anyone heard anything about east Burke ? I haven't seen any of their posters lately
Hypothetical One Game Extra Matchup fans want to see played? This probably deserves its own thread. I say West Lincoln vs East Lincoln in Lincoln County. Not sure who I want to see Lincolnton play. Foard could be interesting

Being it doesn't count rayburn gap/Shelby. Would give the kids a good challenge right before playoffs start. Lose it don't count. If u stay close or win u go in with a boat load of confidence
I like Maiden and East Lincoln matchup if the West vs East was not to materialize. BH gets Hickory. West Caldwell gets either Highland Tech or Cherryville. MaidenCreek will have them favored if they did play.
One reason why Lincolnton does not schedule Cherryville in football.
