Best is obviously- Maiden n WL should be a good one I would think 1-2 scores will decide this game

NC-Lincolnton could be a interesting game as sometimes teams that struggle that play each other usually have a good game

BH and Bandys games are straight forward as both are better then their opponents n should win by a decent margin

Morning CVACers. My usual shake n bake picks and there are some winnable go either way games this week but Maiden and West Lincoln won’t be one of em’ yall are better than you think come on Maiden boys pick the spreads better lol

Bandys over EB- it’s gonna be more evenly matched than you guys think. Favoring a Bandys win but it’s a winnable game for the Cavs if their heads are in it and they play like they played against Draughn and Freedom, and catch a lucky break here and there. If Maiden mopped the floor with em’ and they did I favored that cause you guys hung with Watauaga which speaks mass volumes. WL struggled with Foard and barley lost to Bandys so yeah this one could be close with upset potential IF…Cavs shake off last week and play like they did at Freedom(and you know how well Freedom plays this year). Just sayin’

Bunker Hill over West Caldwell- not much to say bout this one, glorified practice for the Bears. I wouldn’t even play Willis in this one, maybe a quarter and that’s it. Zac Pollard the greatest area RB I ever seen play went down with a ACL against West Caldwell. Mighta been when they were already up by 3 or 4 scores.

Lincolnton over Newton- strength of schedule proves this one and COULD go either way and down to the wire. Newton hadn’t played easy teams either espacially East Rutherford. ER is gonna surprise people in the playoffs, watch. Wolves take this one by 1 score late in game.

Maiden over West Lincoln- it won’t be and shouldn’t be as bad as EB game but this is NOT gonna be as close as yall predict. West appeared to have lost more quality to graduation than figured.

Some stats from Friday night. Maiden QB was 16/22 300 yards 3 TD 135 QB rating. Rushing 30 carries 193 yards. Raheim had 2 rec for 139 yards and 2 TD.

Bandys vs East Burke always looks good on paper…and yet…Bandys rolls through ‘em time and time again. I got to go with the Trojans…I believe they’ll dominate the trenches and get it done.

Lincolnton always find a way against Newton…at least they have the last 3 encounters….I think this is the game of the week. This is a HUGE!, PIVOTAL!, RPI…. game of the week. No pressure!😂

Up until around I'd guess 1970, college apparel was bought on campus at the bookstore and not sold by local retailers. A cousin had a Duke sweatshirt that I ended up with, don't remember how, but it had a more animated looking devil on it, which you (AMD for certain) and probably none of the other Maiden guys would like, but I thought it was great. To me, it looked like Fred Kirby who was a positive childhood image (For some reason, my Father hated him, and would mutter certain words when he came on TV, course, this is probably one of the reasons I have such an expansive vocabulary, if you get my drift). Nevertheless, this is a link to the image changes Duke's blue devil has undergone over the years. The one mentioned earlier was the 1955-1966 image. Scroll down when image is open.

1966 version is what was on the helmets Friday night. And actually the 1971 version would be my favorite. Now lastly I hate Duke I am a Carolina tarheel

I guess I'll go ahead and put in my picks since things are moving around.
Bandy's over East Burke. Bandy's will pass all over them. East Burke is done. Their is no institutional control there. Team is in chaos.
Bunker Hill over a team I wish would just get kicked out of the CVAC.
Lincolnton and Newton is a toss up honestly. Gonna come down to which team is tougher and I'm not sure the answer to that. But I guess I'm gonna put my faith in Lincolnton. If y'all let me down, might find some antifreeze in y'all's water bowls 😂
Maiden over West Lincoln. Get them behind early and it's over they aren't built to come back

-Anytime he uses the adverb "honestly," take it as code for him trying to pretend it's a well-thought-out comment. It's not, it's a cover for him tossing a brick at someone's team. I should give him credit for at least going to the trouble of trying to disguise it. He pulled this stunt last season saying he wanted us to beat the West Lincoln Clock Watchers. After we did he told me he only wanted us to win to better his stats.
-Rule of thumb about this guy: He does not like any team other than Maiden, and he doesn't want to see any team win other than his. Should he appear to be pleased that your team won it's because he hates the other team more. He is completely incapable of a sentimental iota for anybody other than Maiden. I hope none of us down here in Birdland takes a bite of this sauerkraut, mustard and limburger cheese sandwich.

All kinds of changes this week. Scared of a rain drop? Lol. EB n Bandys change?

They moved Hickory North Lincoln all the way to Monday from a source so if that’s the case there’s gotta be changes everywhere and that game subject to change too. Any and all updates on the area appreciated

That hurts. You cut me deeply with that knife. I can show compassion and empathy. No if I can gain a competitive edge also I don't see issues with my true sympathy and compassion being a part of that equation. And also there are teams out there I don't hate. And lastly loyalty is a lost virtue in this world and I honestly feel I'm one of the few that holds that virtue into the deepest parts of my bones. 😂

Regarding the highlighted comment is honesty not the best policy. Do we get anywhere in life sugar coating and pacifying people with watered down facts 🤷🏼‍♂️. Loyalty and tough love can go hand in hand. I can be loyal and die hard till final breath and still curse the situation for everything it's worth. Did you never have to get tools for your dad or help him 🤣. I'm sure he loves his son with his life but doesn't stop him from cursing you for everything your worth 🤣. Or at least was my experience 🤣🤣🤣
