AMD, Don't know if you've been by Lincoln Charter (Lincolnton campus), lately, but the facility looks like it has grown more every time I go by. Originally, there were a couple of metal buildings and a mobile unit, but now it's much bigger.
Ten or fifteen years ago you would see a couple of their busses come through town going to and from the Denver campus... Driving by it the other day I noticed there were a long line of them.
I'm a public schools guy, but the way this charter school has grown, (having passed Lincolnton and West Lincoln's enrollment, according to the 23-24 ADM's) and given how a new one seems to open every year in the lake area (Huntersville-Cornelius-Davidson) in particular, I worry that it might be the way public education is heading.
Hey, wait until they open up a charter school there, and give it a grandiloquent name like Maiden Creek Classical Lyceum of the Arts, Sciences and Guaranteed success.
*Flyrod, you'd mentioned whether students playing sports take the bus to Denver, I'm pretty sure that's correct.
