CVAC 2022 - Week 8

Was hoping y'all could pull it out. Damn now I'm disappointed 🤣
It’s pretty depressing. This is the year that if EB was gonna do anything and make any noise it’d be this year. Losing top defensive player after this year and JVs havnt won but 2 games I think. I could be wrong and hope I’m wrong but future not looking any better. Who knows prob won’t be any more games with all this gas mess coming

CVAC….it don’t get any better.

Huge games next week too!

It’s Lincolntons’ turn to play those East Burke boys…over there too😂…have mercy!😜

I know I’m looking forward to that one. Not sure if I can go either, too much going on. But it does sound like EB is one of the best 2 win teams around that unless your Mallard Creek, Shelby, or KIngs Mtn or some team like that you really can’t sleep on em or go easy. They got enough to punch a ranked team in the mouth even if losing.

They moved the ball and scored on Maiden, almost and shoulda beat the Hill, which baffles me when they couldn’t do much against Bandys and Newton. And beat the best Draughn team. Of course Draughn got the biggest cup cake schedule I seen in a while so beating them wasn’t saying much.

Getting ready to play half of Lincoln county schools. Don’t be surprised if any or both are upsets. They ain’t West Caldwell. I think the Cat Square warriors are a running team and they seem to match well with those. Might be a tougher game than people think. Lincolnton, I guess they got a balanced attack. It’ll be interesting y’all.

As far as Lincoln co schools go, North Lincoln and EB have yet to face off. From what I understand that was close to being a Scheduled in non conference matchup in 2008 but didn’t fall through.

Since 2004:

Maiden leads the series versus BH 17-0; 13-0 as conference opponents.
Maiden has outscored BH 734-231 (avg: 43-14)

M lowest points scored was in 2009 = 21-10
M highest points scored was in 2011 = 70-46
M has scored 40 points or more in 12 of the last 17 games, including the last 7 games
BH has been kept to 1 score or less 6 times with 3 shutouts
BH has scored 20 or more points only 4 times

Games played with the final score within 8 points = 1 = in 2004; 27-20
15 of the 17 victories Maiden has won by 17 points or more (more than two scores)

Maiden's Coach Byrne is 5-0 versus BH, outscoring BH 252-48 in those games (avg: 50-10) with 1 shutout. Maiden's lowest point total in those 5 games is 40; BH highest points scored is 15.

Historically speaking, it's been impossible for BH to beat Maiden. Last year, in one of the best years BH has had, they didn't come close. They were smothered, covered, scattered, and splattered more than some 64/70 Waffle House hashbrowns. The shock and awe of last year has subsided. I expect the Bears to be more than ready tonight.

Bunker Hill hasn't been within striking distance to beat Maiden since the 2004 season. Both teams were undefeated heading into week 5 I believe, it was my Junior year. My dad calls that the double rainbow game...a pregame mist sprinkled from the Heavens and the marriage of mist and sunlight created a double rainbow over BH. App State commit JP Killian lead the Bears run game and defense. He was an excellent athlete. One of the best games I remember playing in...their triple option was well oiled.

BH has something to prove, especially after last year. This will be quite the hump...more of a mountain I would say...that the Bears need to climb to beat the Blue Devils...in more ways than one...problem is, to climb the mountain, you must start in the valley. The Valley of the Shadow of Death, where the Blue Devils reside, is an unforgiving place. Good luck to both teams.

Play violent through the whistle. Keep your head on a swivel. LET THE SMOKE ROOOLLLLLL!!!

I love when Maiden beat the war drum of the unbeatable Devils usually comes back and bits them in the end>

It’s Homcoming at EB tonight so Lincolnton coming to see us at a good time. I’m sure the Cavs will play even harder due to not wanting the chicks driving around the track to see a loss. It would be EBs very first win over Lincolnton if they do win. A close contest last year from what I understand and look for another one tonight.

My buddy poster Lincolnton, I WILL fight to make it tonight, if my wife would hurry up and get home from a dinner party to watch the kids lol. I’ll be late and lucky to walk in by 830. I WILL let you know on here when I arrive in the house so walk down and greet me or tell me we’re u are or something
