Now here is where I'm confused because there has been no official word on Bunker Hill suspensions. But I kinda like Lincolnton upsetting Bunker hill

Well this is easy. Too easy. Prob not get too many pages from this week. Nobody should have a loss in the brackets

WL/ Bandys- in the old days this was a joke. Bandys by as many as they wanted (in old days) Just a few years ago, a competitive game. West rolls. 4 TDs

BH and the Big L- Bears got this, but Lincolnton will play hard and make them earn it.

NC/WC- old days, a really good game. This year, a sissy fight with Newton taking it by 3 TDs

EB/Maiden- a good fight for at least a quarter but the tallent level of Maiden will be just too much. Should be an interesting game to watch out of all of them. That Cav D will be ready and will not let the score look like last year. Maiden by 2 TDs if EB comes in swinging and playing good D and mistake free ball. Be by 4 TDs if not. The one game I’ll gladly take an L in the Standings but I’m a realist

What is wrong with Bandys? Is it coaching philosophies, players, the families that have moved in, or a little of all of that?
Obviously they lost a few kids to other schools early in their high school careers, so that obviously don't help at a small school that needs all the players out there on the field but trying to stay away from that topic.

Wish we had a Bunker Hill insider in here. This just keeps getting weirder lol. I'm out today and see a kid in Bunker Hill football jersey. So I go up and start a conversation. He tells me the fight was bad and 2 players got hurt fighting and now I'm getting confused and said that's more than I heard about Friday night? And he says no that was Thursday in the JV game. I was like didn't the varsity team have a skirmish and he said yeah they got in fights both nights. That seems like a real lack of control over a program. I'm really hoping my friend who works the games at Bunker Hill can clear up some of this towards the week's end.

Lincolnton (1-2) at Bunker Hill (3-0): Here we are again as underdogs but our passing game might have improved a little since last year and sometimes a little proves to be a lot. I hope so. The Wolves by 7.

East Burke (2-1) at Maiden (2-1): Dylan Thomas once said "Do not go gentle into that good night", and I don't believe the Cavaliers will. They'll probably be a little aggravating for the Blue Devils and I hope they make a good show for BFR. Unfortunately for all of us in this conference, that cobalt fiend has way too much talent, Maiden by 17

West Caldwell (0-3) at Newton-Conover: The Warriors lose, again. NC by 10

Bandys (1-2) at West Lincoln (3-0) : I like Bandys and sorry to see them drop so many games. I also like them because one of their key players is a relative of NC Preps poster and resident numbers cruncher GrizzlyDevil; and in deference and respect to him wears his number. Now, to me, that is special. What I don't like about Bandys is that they belt whipped us 52-8, during the 2020 season which was played there on March 12, 2021, but what the heavens, they were doing their job; and hey, I like West Lin (nevermind)…anyway, as one of my old bosses used to say (thinking he got it right)"Here's some thought for food". No matter how hard they try West Lincoln, to some extent, will be focused on Friday-a-week when they visit the infernal region. If nothing else, being extra careful to stay healthy. Yes, I know they have a good coach and one might think he wouldn't allow that, but I still believe they will be at least prone to it, and if so, maybe, just maybe, Bandys could cause them some problems. West by 18

Bunker Hill really hasn't played anybody of note...Saint would be the best team...the North Iredell score really surprised me...too many "ifs" with Bunker Hill. Give me Lincolnton by 7.

East Burke (2-1) at Maiden (2-1)
Really happy with how EB is getting better and building for the future. I gotta go with Maiden...we're an amazing team that hasn't found it's identity...almost feels as if we just want to ride last year's success...I almost feel like this year we are going to play up and down to our opponents level...hope not. Maiden by 18.

Newton-Conover (1-2) vs West Caldwell (0-3)
Can't say I know much about either other than they'll be near the bottom...Newton wins by 14.

Grizz, To improve my standings, what I could do is pick the teams as I normally would, considering all that I might know about them, and any other information I might pick up during the week, write them down, then post the opposite of each pick that I'd made. Considering my success so far, it couldn't hurt.

Heard from a North parent that Bunker Hill started the fight in their varsity game, but that North Iredell several starting players got kick out of the game but no BH players. north came back in the game with second string players and made it a close game which makes me wonder what kind of team BH has!!

7 north iredell players and 6 Bunker Hill players were removed from game on Friday night. And the JV game Thursday night was a fight also. The question that I can't seem to get a real answer on is ? Were these players ejected or disqualified because that makes a huge difference

Hopefully, Bunker Hill keeps it clean this week and for the rest of the season. I am guessing they will have a short leash and anymore shenanigans could result in a forfeiture for the remainder of the season.

Coaching has fallen off the cliff. We could take the easy route and blame Maiden for taking players. But I don't blame the players for wanting to better themselves and go somewhere where they have a chance to get recruited. They ran Trent off. They got an upgrade in Eanes, ran him off. Now it is not good. The culture isn't the same. Sad to see it fall so badly. Hoping one day it will come back. I am new to this page but looking forward to getting in the mix.

Just talked to my Bunker Hill guy. And he told me same thing as a separate person and since that match up, I'm gonna go with it. #54 for Bunker Hill was ejected and other 5 players were disqualified. So barring nchsaa overrule that seems to be the end result. Refs probably giving teams a mercy ruling

End of game play calling and execution is atrocious. I would also like to see how many yards of penalties we get a game. Which is another sign of bad leadership. I don't believe its all on one coach. I believe it is a combined failure. Hopefully they will get somebody in there to get it back in the right direction.

That northern money moving down and taking over Sherrills Ford Rd...money bends culture.

I grew up on Molly's Backbone, went to SF elementary, played at SFO under the Sigmon brothers back when they had us practice behind Howard's Furniture.

My whole family went to Bandys except for my brother and I...momma remarried and we moved to Maiden...but I still care about Bandys a lot.
